CeraVe Advanced Repair Balm

CeraVe's Advanced Repair Balm claims to Immediately hydrate, soothe and protect dry and rough skin while restoring the skin barrier. Developed with Dermatologists 3 essential Ceramides to strengthen the skin barrier the petrolatum and hyaluronic acid works to lock in moisture. I was looking forward to this product hitting Australian shelves as I have very dry skin. I loved this product, it helps areas that need more attention especially with winter approaching. I like to use it as a lip balm, as an elbow balm, and to slug my skincare. The formula is not sticky at all which I like and is also unscented. I enjoy that it comes in a tube and the lid and packaging is secure enough to throw in a bag or makeup bag and not worry about it spilling. I would buy this again.

I had assumed this would be a moisturising cream, but it's more of an occlusive moisturiser in that it forms a seal over the skin (like Vaseline) with additional humectants. Absolutely no go for anywhere on my face (sensitive, rosacea, perimenopausal, acneic), but was good very lightly applied to lips & worked well on my feet (which are suffering post Qld summer!) to soften & seal in moisture after showering. The lack of scent is great - not only does it have no added fragrances, but it has no scent at all. The small tube size can be good or bad - portable, but will likely run out quickly if being used on hands, feet & anywhere else. Pros - great barrier cream, ZERO scent, non-oily, additional humectants Cons - petroleum based Summary - Vaseline texture with added ingredients to boost moisture while remaining scent free.

This is a surprisingly good product! So many pros, including no smell and great for sensitive skin. Iv been using for cracked lips and heels and my kids love using it too. My fave thing is using it as a gloss over my Matt lipstick to give me that hydrated look. I also love that it has hyaluronic acid in it which is great for the skin! It’s definitely not your ordinary petroleum product and makes as a great item to have on hand during the winter months! I would definitely recommend to have as an all rounder product that can be used by the whole family.

I was lucky enough to be selected to trial the Cerave advanced repair balm. I have tried this for almost 2 weeks every single day; and have grown to love it! This balm comes in a very handy 50 ml tube, which is a great size to leave in your bedside drawer like me, or even to pop into your handbag for on the go! The balm reminds me of Vaseline, which would make sense as it is petroleum based. The balm is creamy white in colour and texture. I do have a pretty basic morning and evening skincare routine, which consists of an oil cleanser, moisturizer and then sunscreen (no sunscreen at night) and this balm slotted in perfectly into my routine. My lips, elbows and hands become very dry and sore as soon as the weather cools down; so this balm has been a lifesaver for me. I have extremely sensitive skin, and this did not create any flares, or redness, and being fragrance free, is a big plus for me! It definitely does go on quite greasy, but it does absorb into your skin after a while. I did try to put BB cream ontop of it, and it wasn't the most amazing texture, but that could definitely be a user error on my part! I am super impressed with this balm, and will definitely be purchasing more once my tube runs out.

This is the product we have been waiting for! I was very excited to try this product and I am so glad I did. The main area that I wanted to use it for was my feet. I exfoliate my heels frequently and it seemed like there was not a product out there that I could put on after to hydrate and make my heels feel soft and hydrated. I found this product worked incredibly. It has quite a thick texture and is very similar to Vaseline however with additional skincare benefits. I put this on every night after my shower and then put socks on for a few hours. I wake up and my feet feel so soft and hydrated. Also with coming into the cooler months there have been some dry patches on my face and this product has helped alot with that too. I feel like everyone needs a tube of this at home!

Love CeraVe! I was pumped to trial this cream, and I wasn't disappointed. Creamy, nourishing and hydrating, it is safe to use every night, come winter season. Sydney has had cold weather the last few days, and this cream has become my new bedside favourite. I will buy this again (as it's a small tube) when I run out and also add one in my handbag, for when I'm out and about. If you need a moisturiser for the face, hands and lips, that does some heavy lifting, this one is for you. Will recommend!
