Dermal Therapy Very Dry Face Cream

I recently started noticing dry patches and flaking, particularly around my nose, something I hadn’t experienced before. The Dermal Therapy Very Dry Face Cream comes in a practical, easy to squeeze tube that stands on its lid, which I absolutely love. This design makes it effortless to use every last bit of product without any wastage. The cream itself is white with a thicker consistency, yet it feels surprisingly lightweight on the skin. Once gently massaged in, it absorbs beautifully and leaves no greasy residue. After using it consistently for two weeks, my skin feels noticeably smoother, deeply moisturised, and completely free from flaking. I would highly recommend this cream to anyone with dry to very dry skin, especially during or after the winter months. It effectively calms and settles the skin while delivering lasting nourishment and hydration.

I love face moisturisers which have good ingredients to strengthen the skin barrier and this one had great potential: urea, colloidal oatmeal, 5 types of ceramides, glycerin and sodium hyaluronate for hydration, and no fragrance. The product comes in a 50g tube and the contents are white. Since it is marketed for 'very dry skin', I expected it to be thick and goopy but no, it was spreadable and non-greasy, and forms a protective layer. Even though I have dehydrated combination skin, it wasn't too thick for me as a night cream after my serums. It performed well in keeping my faces hydrated overnight. However, I noticed that this product isn't as soothing as hoped. When my skin is sensitised (e.g. after gentle exfoliation), the product does tingle a little upon and after application. On the days when my skin feels normal, there is no issue. From my experience, a lot of people with dry skin do tend to lean sensitive. So if you have sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend this, but otherwise it's good.

This cream isn't something I would normally look at using because I have combination skin but I actually really really like it a lot. I don't think you need to have very dry skin to use this. I love that this cream comes in a squeezable tube and it literally has no smell at all. Love that! Even though it feels thick, it's quite light on the skin. It absorbs quick and doesn't leave any residue. It doesn't have a matte finish but it's also not shiny. It just gives a healthy little glow of radiance. It leaves my skin feeling incredibly silky smooth and soft. I just love how well it moisturises.
