Dermalogica Active Moist

I like to use this moisturiser at night time and during the day if I'm not planning on leaving the house because it doesn't have SPF in it. It doesn't have a smell and is quickly absorbed into my skin. It doesn't leave my skin oily or shiny and I have oily to combination skin. It hydrates my skin well and doesn't irritate it or cause my skin to break out. I like that the tube sits on it's lid so that there is minimal wastage and all the product goes to the opening. Dermalogica products are great quality and I would recommend them.

I found the Dermalogica Active moist moisturiser lightweight on the skin while also hydrating enough for my needs of skin that is combination. I liked that this moisturiser has little to no scent I find heavy scents overpowering and don’t think they are needed in skincare. I applied this at night as I apply a moisturiser with Spf during the day and found this suited my skin well at night providing a great amount of moisture and hydration without clogging my skin or causing it to break out. I would definitely recommend giving this moisturiser a go if you would like a moisturiser that is lightweight.

I have combination dry/oily skin that is very unpredictable during winter, especially with heating in the office that either leaves me oily or dry depending on the temperature. This moisturiser is great at balancing both dry and oily skin. It is very light, absorbs well and keeps my skin matte but moisturised at the same time. The consistency is smooth, smells wonderfully fresh and feels luxurious and velvety. It isn't cheap, but a pea size is enough for my face and I feel the price is justified. I would definately reccomend this, especially for those with combination skin and who have trouble finding a moisturiser that is effective.

I, like many beauty addicts, have my go to moisturisers, but can't help that need to try new things in search of something even better. I got a deluxe 22ml sample of this moisturiser in the Meet Dermalogica set. I have got a combination skin and I do not need heavy nourishment or hydration for every day.  Active Moist is a basic moisturiser that should please the majority of us. It has a lightweight formula, feels hydrating on the skin without making it too greasy. It has a slight herbal scent, but nothing too ovwerpowering.  It works well with make up primers and foundations. It does not clog the pores. It leaves the skin moisturied, soft and feeling comfortable. It is great as a last step of a night time routine ( when you have fancy serums but need that extra boost of hydration). It is simple but ticks a lot of boxes.

Dermalogica's Active Moist is an absolute staple in my beauty stash.  It is the if-you-can-only-have-one-moisturiser-in-a-desert-this-is-it kind of moisturiser! The inverted squeeze tube design is my favourite kind of packaging for any moisturiser as it is both hygienic and convenient. This lightweight, oil-free and quickly-absorbed cream is an ideal moisturiser to use by itself in warmer seasons. During the cooler months, I like to layer either a hydrating serum or a facial oil (or both) before I apply Active Moist, and I found that Active Moist really helps to seal in the goodness of the serum and facial oil to make those products work more efficiently. Active Moist can be used either as a day or night cream. I also found that my makeup glides on evenly and effortlessly on top of this moisturiser which makes a makeup primer completely optional!  It is such a versatile product that I can always find a use of it on any given day. As an added bonus, the refreshing cucumber and soothing botanical scent of Active Moist makes it an absolute pleasure to use (as if I haven't found enough reasons to fall in love with this moisturiser!) Active Moist keeps my skin hydrated and plumped all year round without making my skin look oily or greasy.  I have been using this product for more than 10 years now.  I have tried countless high- and low-end moisturisers and I keep coming back to this one.  If my beauty addiction has to end and only one moisturiser is allowed for the rest of my life, it will be this one.

Active Moist by Dermalogica saved my self esteem, and my skin! I am 29 years of age and have struggled with acne since I was 21. I tried all kinds of products, most were too thick, some were not thick enough and others just smelt like I was applying strong chemicals directly to my skin. Active Moist is light, but keeps my skin moisturised perfectly throughout my day, even when applying makeup directly over the top. The product does not smell, and you don't need a lot (which is great because the product seems to last forever). Highly recommend for anyone with acne prone skin.

Why didn't I use Dermalogica sooner!!!! This moisturiser is hands down one of my favourite moisturisers. It's super lightweight and not heavy on the face at all. I use this morning and night after I cleanse my face. The Dermalogica Active Moist really gives me that “active moist” feel and makes my skin feel super soft and hydrated with no greasiness. I have combination oily skin and feel that my breakouts have been minimised from this cream. My skin feels extremely smooth and gives my face an even texture. I used to wear moisturises that made me feel very cluggy and very thick in the face - I used to put foundation on and it just wouldn't feel nice. This cream is the complete opposite! It’s light and thats what I like the most about it. It is incredibly amazing under makeup and keeps my face hydrated all day. I feel like I don't even need to put on that much makeup because with just the moisturiser alone it really makes me feel fresh and clean. I recommend this to anyone who has combination oily skin. It took me a while to find the right skincare but now that I have Dermalogica I don't need to worry because I know this works wonders and does the job. A little goes a long way. Love it!

I started using Dermalogica products about 7 years ago when my skin was at its worst. I was in my early 30s and was still getting acne which, at my age, was embarrassing for me. I have always been one for cleansing, toning and moisturising ,morning and night but still could not understand why the acne continued. It made me feel lousy, my self esteem went down.  Enough was enough so I went to my local beauty salon and had face mapping and a facial done. The beautician used Dermalogica products. Since that day I have been using them daily and my skin has never been better!  The standout for me was the Active Moist moisturiser, it was so light on my skin and absorbed nicely without leaving a greasy film over my face. I use this in conjunction with Special Cleansing Gel and Multi Active Toner. These 3 products combined are absolute winners for me, I've introduced my daughter now (13) to the Clear Start range.  The packaging is great as it comes in two sizes (50ml & 100ml) and also a travel size, great for my handbag.  I use this moisturiser all year round and have found it to be fantastic. 

This is my everyday daytime moisturiser, lightweight, great under makeup and doesn't make my skin feel oily.  I do top up a couple of dry areas with the amazing 'daily microfoliant', but if I used a heavier moisturiser over my whole face then it would be too oily.  I prefer to touch up smaller areas with an extra boost.  The 100ml tube lasts me ages, so this is good value to me.  I was first introduced to Dermalogica years ago, strayed for a while, but returned to the brand a year ago. My skin has thanked me, and in my late 30s I have better skin than I've had in years.  Love this brand.  Works for me.  The lack of SPF isn't too much of a problem as I have SPF in the primer I use.  But you can add a solar boost to all the moisturisers in their range if you don't wear makeup.

Had I not know about boosters and essences, I doubt I would like this product very much.  Even for normal skin, Active Moist in itself is not enough hydration.  But using it as an added layer of moisture, I find it really effective in maintaining moisture levels during cold winter months.  After cleansing and toning, I apply a pea-sized amount of Active Moist to freshly misted skin, followed by my regular moisturiser.  I love the scent (lemony, but with a hint of green) and I find it really great at keeping my normal skin normal rather than dry, as it can sometimes become during winter.  As a stand-alone product, I wouldn't be very impressed.  But as part of a hydration maintenance system, it's really great!

This is my go to daily moisturiser which I have used for a number of years now. This formula is light on the skin which is great for everyday use. Fast absorbing, I am able to apply foundation shortly after applying the moisturiser - something which I don't feel you are able to do with all moisturisers. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a "normal" skin type.
