Linda: I concur! The doe-foot applicator on this product is an absolute killer! I love the concept on this product, I do. Logically, it makes complete sense: fibres to attach to hairs to extend, enhance, thicken and/or lengthen the brow hairs. I think the product would have been more effective if used with a brush or spoolie as well as providing users with a clean-up brush also (because applying this product is extremely messy). The other issue is, the applicator does not allow the user to go for a gradient effect. The result: blocked out brows in one shade. Too intense! Fail. Huge fail. Caterpillar fail.
I found this simple, easy-on-the-budget, Designer Brands brow product to give a surprisingly decent result after I bought it from their website. As a brow volumiser with brush-on fibres, I had expected some fall-out on my cheeks, but there was nothing, even after wearing my brows to a pilates class straight after. My eyebrows were nicely defined and the fibres stayed in place even without any gel. I simply used the applicator to carefully brush the powder across my brows, then combed and tidied up with a spoolie brush. And that was it! So the promised 2 seconds was pretty accurate. I do have to make a disclaimer - my eyebrow needs are fairly straightforward. I don't have sparse eyebrows, they have not been plucked overmuch, and I don't want heavy, straight brows a-la-Cara Delevinge. So they don't need much volumising - I chose the Extend-A Brow because it looked like a nice and easy product to use to add some definition. For those who need Extend a Brow to fill-in gaps in a natural-looking way - well, this may be a different proposition because the applicator is not that fine. My only other issue with Extend a Brow is the limited shades. There are only 2 -  light-medium and dark. I was fortunate to have the lightest shade as a fairly close match, but still slightly too dark. I can't imagine that ladies with lighter brows (blonde or light brown) could buy this product, and one or two more shades would be a welcome addition. Still for those wanting an affordable, quick and easy product to throw in a make-up or travel bag, this brow extender probably does tick all the boxes.
I just cannot get a good result using this product, and have now thrown away my Extend A Brow.  It's my least favourite brow product! The idea behind the product is sound - thin fibres that are brushed over your brows to add volume, shape and colour. The problem is with the included applicator. Even when using a light touch, the colour comes on quite strong.  But the main problem for me is that the included applicator is a 'doe' applicator. So instead of brushing on the fibres, the applicator deposits them unevenly over my eyebrows.  And while it's at it, little fibres come loose and fall on my eyelids, cheeks and so forth. The result is strongly coloured eyebrows that look like my 10 year old niece applied them! I have tried a number of times to use this product, never being happy with the results. I recommend giving this product a big miss, unless you like fake looking, "painted on" brows!
Great product for me with my blonde eyebrows. The powdery nature of this brow liner fills in the missing bits. At first I thought I had bought a faulty product as when I pulled the applicator out of the bottle it was dry (the previous product I used looked the same but was wet), so I was surprised. It covers my blonde lashes and parts of my skin underneath, you can vary how much coverage you want by just layering it on. The great thing about this as with all DB products is the fantastic price and the lasting quality. I have had mine for over 6 months, use it everyday, and still have loads left in the bottle.
This was a spur of the moment purchase while at the chemist one day. I'd never tried a Designer Brand product before and kept hearing about the brand so thought I would see for myself how it compared to higher end brands. My eyebrows at the time were not as thick and managable  as they had been the majority of my life. I was starting to get a little patchy near the thickest part and my ends were very thin and hair was quite sparse. The Designer Brands Extend A Brow came in a little clear tube with a sponge tip applicator, much like you see in tube lipglosses and lip colors.  Now,I have never used an eyebrow powder shaper/filler before but the instructions made it sound simple enough. Just swipe the brush along the brow to instantly fill and shape brows. So that's what I did. As the powder was being applied, you could feel the fibres clinging to the brows as you push the applicator along,it made application quite simple and there was no danger of slipping and going off the brow. I found this very effective on the thicker parts of my brows but by the end of my brow the powder was falling all over my cheeks as there wasn't much brow left for the pen to cling to and disperse powder on. Not a huge issue though, the powder sweeps off easily without leaving marks all over the face. The end result was pretty great, though maybe a little too thick at the end where my brows are usually very thin. After a little trial and error, I found this works best if applied to the thick part as normal, then very carefully and lightly for the thinner parts or it will end up far too messy and unaturally thick. In the end,I personally find it easier to use a brow pen for my own brows. They aren't quite the right shape for this product and its thick sponge tip applicator. Pros *Fantastic Price *Thickens and shapes quite well *Easy to use applicator *Scent free *Fills in patchy spots fantastically  Cons *Fibres can be a little messy *Can make thin brows look unaturally thick due to the thick spongey applicator I'd recommend this for people who have thicker eyebrows as it can be a bit of work for thinner brows. This fills in sparse and patchy areas phenomenally well. Also maybe make sure to apply this before your makeup as it may get a little messy!
This is a perfect product for travelling. Comes in a delightful tiny package, but packs a punch to your brow line. Brows are kept in shape all day with a silky appearance. Really the only product one needs if pushed for time, gives your face an instant lift
