Eau Thermale Avène Cicalfate+ Skin Repair Serum

I recently had the opportunity to try Avène Cilcalfate+ Skin Repair Serum after purchasing an edit of hydrating skincare. I have always been a fan of French pharmacy brands like Avène because of their no nonsense approach to skincare, backed by research, and the range of their products, which are designed to target specific skin issues, and take some of the guesswork out of skincare choices. The Cicalfate+ range is particularly good for healing and repairing damage to skin, and soothing irritations. I found the serum couldn’t have come at a better time in our current winter. This is the time when my dry skin is most under strain - feeling dehydrated, taut and uncomfortable due to cold weather and indoor heating. The serum feels cool and soothing and a few drops patted into the skin day and night absorb quickly without feeling tacky, and I can then follow with my moisturiser to complete the hydration. There is no scent at all which is so important for avoiding irritation. I have used this over a few weeks (I had travel size amount) and my skin did feel very comfortable and soothed afterwards, and the serum worked well with my other skincare. It is definitely a product I would repurchase in a larger size to keep trying. Not going to lie- this is not a cheap product at $70 per bottle, but 30 mls is a lot of product as you only need a few drops at a time, so it will last quite a while. A definite recommend from me!
