Eau Thermale Avène DermAbsolu Intensive Reshaping Night Cream

This night cream from Avene is targeted towards aging skin to hydrate and nourish as well as redensify. The formula contains 1% Bakuchiol, 2% Pro-Ceramides, 2% Niacinamide, a small amount of Vitamin C derivative and Vitamin E. Bakuchiol is known to have anti-aging benefits for skin and has antioxidant and soothing properties. The addition of niacinamde and vitamins makes it even better for preventing aging, evening skin tone and supporting skin health. Bakuchiol also works well with retinoids in supporting the stability and effectiveness of retinoids. It comes in a 40ml pump jar, a bit less than the usual 50ml. It is made in France. The packaging is a stylish dark blue with a gold base, and has with a unique design where the entire top is the push pump. You twist to unlock and the product comes out through a small opening when you pump. The moisturiser is surprisingly lighter than the day cream, and absorbs on my combination skin quite easily. I find it quite heavily scented with an old-fashioned scent, even though it does not cause me any irritation. The amount of fragrance was surprising given that the product is meant for those with sensitive skin too. Since bakuchiol and niacinamide play well paired with retinoids, I was able to use this night cream with my tretinoin. The texture is quite light, which is not quite enough for me in the winter months but great in the warmer months. I did not see improvements in terms of increased firmness/reduced sagging but it kept my skin happy and radiant. It is a good formula. My only criticism is the strong fragrance.

I've been using the Avene DermAbsolu Intensive Reshaping Night Cream and absolutely love it.  I love the design of the jar and how the cream is dispensed by pressing down on the top part of the jar.  The thick ivory cream comes out of a tiny nozzle on the side.  The plastic top part of the jar can be twisted into a lock position.  It is an airless pump which can make it difficult to see how much product there is left in the jar and leaves me a bit clueless as to when it might run out. I love the scent and the thick texture of this cream.  It absorbs well and my skin feels moist and plump the next morning.  I think it has helped the wrinkles around my eyes as they don't seem as deep.  I've really enjoyed using this night cream and hope to purchase more when the price is right.
