Eau Thermale Avène Vitamin Activ CG Radiance Intensive Cream

This trial came at the right time because I often use Vitamin C products but haven't for a while. I have stubborn pigmentation on one side of my face which I got over summer from the sun. To some it's not noticable but to me it is. After using the moisturiser with the serum everyday for the trial duration I did notice how glowly my skin is. I have noticed these stubborn areas of pigmentation have lightened overtime. I still have half the pot left to use so I will continue using this range and would consider buying it.   The cream is thick so a little goes a long way. It absorbs nicely into my skin and leaves my skin feeling hydrated.

I love this Vitamin C Intensive Cream!!! I've been incorporating it into my night time skincare routine as a final step to lock in moisture. My skin tends to be on the oilier side so I find that this is the best time to use it. My skin looks plump and more refreshed in the mornings now. It is quite a thick cream but it absorbs well overnight. I love that it is packed with niacinamide as well and feel like my skin looks and feels softer because of it! I usually have quite sensitive and breakout-prone skin but this product worked well. I would recommend to anyone looking for a thicker, night time active!

I have been using this product together with the Eau Thermale Avène Vitamin Activ CG Serum for the past few weeks and I have really noticed the difference. The cream itself has a gorgeous smell and the silkiest of textures. It glides on so easily and you don't need too much to cover your whole face. My skin instantly felt more hydrated, brighter and rejuvenated and I have had people comment on the overall texture and look of my skin. I can definitely notice that the fine lines around my eyes seem to have reduced somewhat and my skin is feeling great. I do tend to have quite sensitive skin and I have to be careful about the products I use, but I have had no issues at all with this one. If you are like me and suffer from dry skin than this is for you. When I saw this product I knew I needed it. Any thick moisturising cream that I can add to my nighttime routine is for me. And I loved it! It is thick but not too thick, its light, has a pleasant scent and gets the job done. I love how it has anti-ageing benefits too! It absorbs really nicely into my skin leaving it feeling dewy, hydrated and radiant. I've nearly finished the whole bottle. I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone.

This is an awesome cream to use if you want to start introducing active ingredients to your routine. I have very oily skin and find it quite difficult to find products that don’t exacerbate this issue. Fortunately for me this product was a great addition to my skincare routine and didn’t feel like I was weighing down my skin. I could notice a difference in skin texture and brightness form the first few uses and even got comments and questions about the cream after a few weeks of use. The product has quite a luxurious feel when using it both in the packaging and the product itself. I’d definitely recommend this is someone with oily skin who wants a simple lightweight way to introduce Vitamin C to their routine.

The cream texture is very bouncy, jelly like, not like your standard moisturisers which makes me more intrigued to use it. I loved this in conjunction with the serum, it’s just an added layer/lock in of all the benefits and gives the ultimate hydrating and supple look to the skin. It didn’t dry my skin out over the day, especially in the recent weather change, but I don’t notice a lot of change in my skin’s texture or improvement in acne scars and wrinkles. Again, this could be because I don’t have a before and after to refer back to, but I do like the feel and benefits from this product, and will continue using it. Also the packaging feels very lux but bulky too because the actual amount of cream is much less than the whole jar size

This smells great and is nice and thick, however it didn’t absorb into the skin and mostly laid thick on the surface. It didn’t do a major job in hydrating the skin just gave a layer on top. Saw no difference in radiance so far so maybe needs to be used for a long period of time but I wouldn’t think it makes much of a difference since it’s quite thick. My skin is sensitive but it didn’t irritate it even though it is slightly fragranced. I wouldn’t recommend this to oily skin but may be absorbed well for someone with dry skin instead.

I have sensitive combination oily skin. I actually think this cream is better suited to those with a dryer skin type. The cream is really rich and thick and it contains oils and shea butter. On application, the cream has a slight scent that disappeared quite soon after. The cream was thick and rich and I only needed a small amount. Warming it up in my fingers, it smoothed on quite well, however it took a really long time to absorb into my sometimes oily skin. It felt thick and heavy and a little suffocating to me. I did not use this cream under my makeup, because I knew it would cause my products to breakdown far too quickly and end in an oily mess. I used this cream daily for about 2 weeks, but never without the matching serum. My issues started to appear around the one week mark. The product didn't seem to be doing anything to minimise breakouts. In fact, I think it caused a couple of pimples. I didn't see any changes in pigmentation on my skin. But my skin seemed less smooth. I had to exfoliate more frequently, and it didn't seem to be as effective as normal. My skin returned to its normal texture within a week of stopping use. I'm not sure if it was a reaction to the product, or if it was the actives in the product just increasing skin turnover. I am not going to completely dissmiss this product, I think I will test it out in winter, when my skin tends to lean a little more on the normal/dry side. The cream comes in a heavy glass jar with refillable insert, I'm not sure if you can buy the inserts though. I wouldn't rave about this cream to my friends and family, but the ingredient composition in this product has me intrigued enough that I would tell my skincare savy friends about it and maybe my friends with drier skin types.

This really makes my skin glow. This was a gift from someone who knows I have sensitive skin and it never once irritated my skin. The consistency is so smooth and silky and absolutely luxurious, it feels like such a treat. It is a little pricey but the results are worth it and it spreads easily and a little goes a long way so I never need to use a lot at one time. The vitamin c brightens and tightens my skin and my skin looks fresher and much less tired when I wear this. It is really hydrating and leaves my skin looking and feeling soft and smooth. I’ve been using the Eau Thermale Avène Vitamin Activ CG Radiance Intensive Cream and I have to say that I’m quite surprised with the results that I’ve got and all the compliments I’ve been getting “what are you using, your skin is glowing”. The cream does feel a little sticky on the skin but it has keep my skin moisturised, my skin looks brighter after 3 weeks of using it. The package is heavy but it feels like it’s good quality, scent of the product is not too overwhelming for me. I think overall it is a good product to try for yourself.

I used this alongside Avene's Vitamin Activ Cg Radiance Concentrated Serum as part of my morning skincare routine and while I was impressed with the serum, I was not a fan of the Vitamin Activ CG Radiance Intensive Cream. The Vitamin Activ CG Radiance Intensive Cream comes inside a separate sealed tub inside the jar - which is great packaging. Most VitC need to be sealed in a UV safe container to avoid oxidation, but Avene has clearly done something with the formula here as I didn't notice any discolouration at all. The texture is slightly stringy and unlike any other moisturiser I've used in the past. The product sat well under sunscreen and didn't pill even a little bit, which was great, but I did find I needed to rub it in quite a bit to get it to blend into the skin.  I also found the scent to be quite overwhelming, as with the matching serum. The biggest problem I had with this product though, is that I found it made my skin so oily by the early afternoon. I have quite oily skin so I usually skip moisturiser in favour of a sunscreen, so it might have been just my skin type though!

I received the Avene Vitamin Activ Radiance Cream as part of a trial and I LOVE it! It has a really nice texture and applies smoothly to my skin. I used it everyday for roughly about two weeks and my skin felt more plump and I felt I looked more radiant. I felt my complexion glowed more than usual. I found it didn’t help with blemishes, fine lines and wrinkles but I wasn’t using it for this purpose. Using it consistently for the past month, my skin feels brighter, hydrated and smoother. I love how this one powerhouse of a product packs in my favourite trio - Vit. C, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. The texture for the cream is not too thick and dries quickly once absorbed in the skin. The packaging is quite lux. Overall I will continue to recommend and use this product.

I have oily and would not recommend to others who have oily skin unless it'sa very dry winter. This moisturiser is quite rich and doesn't blend or sink into the skin easily. Your skin does feel very moisturised afterwards but for my oily skin I have other moisturisers that achieve this without feeling heavy. It has nice smell. I didn't notice any brightening in my skin but this may be because I have used hydroquinone before which is a stronger ingredient than vitamin C. This didn't irritate my skin which is good.

The glass container is quite heavy, making feel like a very expensive product to have. I love they have incorporated a refillable tub, so that you can keep the glass vessel and just put in a new tub of product. The consistency of the cream is definitely on the thicker side, but that is to be expected any sort of intensive cream. Certainly not my usual go texture as I've got an oily skin base. But I was super surprised on this cream. I used 2-3 fingertips and applied it on my forehead and cheeks. The cream warmed as made movement in my fingertips and allowed me to spread the cream quite easily over my face and my skin just soaked it up. Without my skin feeling heavy or sticky. Extra ticks all round for me on this. You definitely only need minimal product as this cream goes a long way. Excessive use of too much will leave your skin looking like a pale ghost. So minimal product application for faces people. I had my sisters comment that my skin looked brighter, so I will take that as another good tick that the cream did what it was intended for. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who is wanting to brighten their complexion and is happy to pay a little more to get that product. I am definitely adding this cream on my to buy list once I finish this jar!

I have noticed that my usually oily skin has been more evenly textured and less greasy when I wake up each day. My skin feels soft and moisturised. The cream is easy to apply but takes some time to soak in and stop feeling slightly tacky. It smells nice and not overpowering. You only need to use a small amount each day as it spreads easily if you are quick. I would recommend this to others.

I learnt early on in the trial period that a little goes along way with this cream. It's thick and nourishing. If you apply too much your skincare will pill. I pulled back and applied the right amount and I love the way it absorbed into my skin and the way it left my skin looking hydrating and even. Using every morning for a month this range has done wonders for my skin tone. Verdict is I would 100% recommend and 100% will purchase to continue using.
