Guerlain Rouge G de Guerlain Lipstick

So luxe, so creamy and stunning shades. Very expensive, but worth it for a colour that you would use everyday. Makes me feel special to use such a beautiful product.

I first bought this in Paris in 2010 and had never seen anything like it! It’s like a little purse for your lipstick!! So adorable. The red has beautiful longevity and gorgeous pigments. It’s a bit heavy for a lipstick, owing to the metal case and mirror. Very moisturising and doesn’t feather. Love it and will be buying this for many years to come!

Great formula with wide range of colours. I love these as now you buy bullets and a case separately. Custom caps are beautiful and I bought quite arty one (in blue and silver, sort of geometric "lace"-very batic...I would say Baltic =D). The lip formula is so comfy on the lips. Moisturizing as well as high pigment. Wears well considering it is a bullet lipstick. I have got a new matte one in plummy mauve and it is creamy, non drying. They also last a very long time without going bad (just mentioning this as I kept one 4 years old and still not off, just because it was OG of their lippies in this style and the case is beautiful silver bullet.) They are on a heavy side and have a mirror on the cap (as you pull it off the lipstick it flips open revealing the mirror inside).

I'll admit, I am a sucker for a super flash lipstick, which is most definitely what this is.  Comparing lipsticks to the top secret spy world, every other lipstick is Carrie and Saul from Homeland and this one is James Bond.  Like, literally.  This lipstick case even has a flip-up mirror gadget Doo-dad thingie.  It's sure to impress anyone who might be nearby when you pull this lipstick out of your bag.  However, the case is the most impressive thing about this lipstick as the lipstick itself is predictably average.  I bought it 20% from Sephora online in a pale pink shade just to add a bit of subtle shine and effect to my lips - essentially a "lip balm plus".  It makes my lips look fairytale like, but like Cinderella, there's a short expiry on the fairytale magic.  In saying that though, I would certainly buy another one in another colour, but probably only in another 20% off sale.

This lipstick does what it claims, very creamy, very pigmented and keeps my lips hydrated throughout the day. The lipstick case is to die for and the case comes with two magnifying mirror which is super handy when I reapply the lipstick. The colour does disappear after food or drink otherwise it can last for about 3-4 hours without touch ups.
