INIKA Mineral Mattifying Powder

This was my first time using any Inika products, and fortunately I was not disappointed! I love that this brand produces cruelty-free and sustainable products. This product comes in a small pot and I used a brush to apply to my face as the final step after my make-up was complete. I do tend to have quite oily skin at times, so I find that a mattifying powder is often a must-have for me. This product was effective in reducing shine and helpful in setting my make-up for the day. I have naturally pale skin and I did find that although the powder was translucent, it did have a paler finish than some other powders I have used.

It works for my skin! I was at the natural beauty event March this year and had been browsing trough so many Inika products, testing and trying. Day was sunny , hot and my skin as usual, extra shiny by mid day. Grease shiny. Girl at the stall pops on some of this....late that evening, my face still looking satiny blurred and perfection. I was amazed, as previous powders were not lasting that long or having such a good effect! So placed on wishlist....got it and using now. My skin: huge pores (as all until recently I had very oily skin with blackheads and all), combo skin, pigmentation (too much sun exposure, no spf). I use tinted SPF or regular and when set I dust this powder to keep my skin looking normal and blurred, satiny and smooth. As without my skin is: textured, shiny and blotchy looking. The effects last all day. And this powder does not look dry or crack on my skin, just looks perfect. Feels comfortable, invisible, as it was not there. Love the ingredients, no nasties: Mica, Oryza Sativa Powder, Silica, Tapioca Starch, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Gluconolactone, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Sodium Benzoate, Aqua. Mind the amount you get: 3.5g. Since I do not use loads, it lasts me a long time. I use it under the eyes to set eye brightener too so it does not crease into my expression lines from smiling, laughing and grinning all the time. So light, yet effective.

This inika mineral mattifying powder is a lifesaver for me. I suffer from an oily tzone and sensitive skin and this powder absorbs my excess oil and contains no chemicals so it’s gentle and does not irritate. It’s super easy to use, just swirl a brush in the tub, tap off excess and swirl over skin. This effectively absorbs oil and makes my foundation last longer without sliding off my face. It feels nice and light to wear and doesn’t clog my pores. It’s quite hydrating and gives my makeup a perfect professional finish. The packaging is classy and it’s good value as I never use a lot. This is a great product for anyone wanting a professional, flawless makeup finish which is why I recommend it.
