This is not a drill
If there’s one lesson we’ve learnt, it’s that you should never underestimate the mound of juicy beauty knowledge bursting out of Reddit on the daily.
Avid Redditors have provided us with some nifty tips once or twice before – from lazy-girl makeup sponge cleaning hacks to weird and wonderful acne solutions and Holy Grail wedding lipsticks, there’s been some solid offerings. And now, they’ve come up with the ultimate hack for people with really light lashes.
A Reddit user by the name of LipstickQueen has discovered the best mascara for blonde lashes.
Writing on the ever-informative Makeup Addiction subreddit, she shared the tried and tested mascara that has earned its place as her new must-have.
“This is a must if you have really light lashes but still want to do a no-makeup makeup look. It’s the Covergirl Flourish Mascara in Brown. It gives definition without it looking weird on my super blond lashes. (I usually cannot do even black brown without it looking very made up),” writes LipstickQueen.
You see, when you have light eyelashes, it can be a real struggle to find the right mascara that will suit your colouring and not look too obvious – especially when you want to go natural on the makeup front.
“Felt the need to share because I never see brown mascaras and this is super exciting to me to not have to shell out a ton of money for one.”
And her fellow Redditors were quick to praise her for the find: “I've been looking for a brown drugstore mascara forever!” wrote one user. “Crossing my fingers that I can find this in Canada. Thanks for the heads up.”
While we don’t have the faintest clue regarding its availability in Canada, we do know that the COVERGIRL LashBlast Flourish Mascara is very much available in Australia! The best part? You can grab it from your local Priceline for under $20.
What a time to be alive.
