IT Cosmetics Liner Love

I normally used to be a liquid or pencil eyeliner type of girl until I finally tried the waterproof gel liner from IT cosmetics.  I don't mind trying new things but I'm definitely loyal to the products that I have used for years.  If it ain't broke don't fix it! But there comes a time when you feel as though your beauty routine is in a rut and that your products just aren't working for you as they used to.  I wanted to start expanding my beauty horizons and figured that I should start trying out new products.  I tend to stick with what I know but I wanted to venture out and after I read about gel eyeliner online I had really wanted to try it out.  Not to mention when my cousin had gotten her makeup done they had used gel eyeliner and I thought that it looked way better than what I had thought.  I knew I had to buy it and try it out for myself.  It's one thing to see a professional makeup artist do it, as they always make it look so much easier, but to be able to recreate the look at home is a different story.  I decided to go with the IT cosmetics liner as the price point was much more affordable compared to other high end brands I had been researching.  It comes in a small jar which you can unscrew and the gel itself looks very dark and pigmented, exactly how I want it to be! It does look stiff when you first look at it but once I dipped my eyeliner brush into it, it was actually quite soft and super creamy.  I went over the gel several times with my brush, dabbed a little bit of it on the back of my hand so I could coat my brush with the right amount and proceeded to start creating my winged eye look.  I started off towards the end so I could start with the flick, much like an outline and then go over it with more gel eyeliner after.  The eyeliner was very creamy and it glided onto my eyelid so smoothly.  The black colour was so pigmented and rich, it stood out right away and you couldn't see anything underneath it.  With my liquid and pencil eyeliner I would run into the issue having to go over it several times as you could still see a bit of my eyelid underneath it.  I quickly added more the gel eyeliner onto my brush and continued from the middle of my eye and then outward to make my flick just a bit thicker.  For someone that isn't the best at eyeliner and creating that cat eye look I did a pretty good job! The fine tip eyeliner brush that I used made it easy to trace the eyeliner and then go over it again and because the texture and quality of the product was so good it wouldn't create any creases or gaps.  It does dry fairly quickly so I would suggest outlining what you want your eyeliner to look like with a pencil or a pen and then going over it with the gel so that way it will look perfect as removing it can be quite challenging! It's such a great eyeliner that I like to reserve it for special occasions.  The most recent even happened to be my cousins wedding and I had so many people comment on my eye makeup saying how good it looked.  It lasted the whole night, from the ceremony to the reception and late night dancing.  It held up really well and by the end of the night it didn't move one bit.  The colour was just as pigmented as before and it looked exactly how it did when I first put it on.  I have even used it on my lower lash line as well and it didn't cause any smudging or fading. I would highly recommend this gel eyeliner for anyone that wants a pigmented eyeliner that will last all night.  Whether you want a thick or thin winged eye, it'll do the job and you won't have to worry about it for the rest of the day!
