I was lucky to try this lotion side-by-side to the original Crème de Corps! Again, this has to be one of the most (if not the most) expensive body lotion I have used. I really quite like Crème de Corps in terms of consistency and results. I have normal to dry skin type and generally due to personal preference would prefer something a little bit thinner. So I was expecting that this lotion has all the positive things about Crème de Corps but just thinner which I thought would be a "plus" for me. Similar to Crème de Corps, I like the fact that it does not have fragrance, and the consistency is not too thick. In fact, to my surprise, I prefer the Crème de Corps just a tad more. This is because Crème de Corps was not actually thick to start with (somewhere between a cream and a lotion). This lotion formula seems a little bit too thin for my liking and possibly psychologically I think the "cream" form is a little be more value for money (that is, I can use a bit less). Similar to the original Crème de Corps, I would have preferred if the product has no artificial yellow colour. It definitely absorbed into skin very quickly, I just felt that I have to use a lot more than the cream version to achieve the same result - could be great on very hot summer days!
Being a fan of the original Creme de Corp - I naturally wanted to try the lotion version for summer (when the original creme is too heavy and sticky). The lotion is great, it moisturizes really well and does the job - except I do sometimes suspect it's the original formula watered down. When it's quite hot and muggy, the lotion can feel slightly heavy (though I would imagine any other moisturiser may feel the same way). I suppose money for value is really the big question - does it do the job? Yes. But can something much cheaper do the same job? Yes. As a loyal fan of creme de corp though, I am happy to pay up for the lotion version!
