Lancôme Génifique Crème

Some mornings I drag myself out of bed and stand in front of the mirror horrified. I know that I am going to need to fake a fresh face and Lancôme Génifique YouthActivating Cream gives me an instant pick up every time. Youth Activating Cream is packaged in a stylish 50ml glass, black fading to clear ombre coloured jar, with a silver mirrored screw off lid (with a slight dome top) and finished with Lancôme's signature rose. The cream is white in colour with a slight illumination to promote a healthy glow. It has a medium consistency and is able to hold its form in the jar (which I like because I know it can plump my wrinkles up to smooth them!).  Hot Australian summers can really bring out the oil in my usually normal/dry skin type. I need a cream that is light in texture when applied to cope with the heat and Youth Activating Cream really delivers. My skin feels hydrated without feeling heavy and it stays consistent though out the day (no after lunch oil slick!). I don’t feel the need to layer and use a serum because this cream creates the perfect silky smooth canvas for me to apply my summer make up. This may change in winter so I will have to wait and reassess. The smell is elegant and just divine; it has a soft powdery scent that I could wear as a perfume (wink, wink Lancôme). This cream contains no SPF but this can actually work in my favour as it can irritate my skin and I can use it for a night cream on a hot sticky night.  Lancôme Génifique Youth Activating Cream represents value for money, a little bit goes a long way and it does actually deliver. My skin looks and feels better than it has in a long time. It has a radiant, dewy glow and is a smooth as silk!   I would recommend this product.    

I actually received this neat little product as a deluxe sample from one of those gift bags. I started using it about 2 weeks ago and I've fallen madly in love with the product. It's been pretty erratic weather here in Australia, I also go travelling abit for work so was just in NZ - the climate is colder, I'm always in and out of hotels and offices, so my skin is constantly being drenched of moisture. This is how I know this product is amazing - I put it on once during the day and once during the night. One night, I left the hotel heater on and usually I would end up with dry skin - but not with Lancome! My skin was still soft and supple after a night of heater damage! What's also great about the product is that it gets absorbed quite fast in your skin - I'm time poor in the mornings, so I want to just apply my cream and then put on my make up and not have it stick. As to whether or not it makes me younger - I'm not sure. Only 3 weeks in. But it's certainly not doing anything negative for me, so this product has my vote!
