Absolutely awesome product! I have been using this for almost a month now and I’m a huge fan! It stays on and doesn’t smudge at all, and I love how natural it looks, so much better and easier then the brow pencil I was using prior. I would recommend everyone to try Build-A-Brow! I also love the gel that sets it, even after exercise and sweating I found that this didn’t smudge at all. Hands down is now my number one favourite brow product! This is the perfect product for anyone wanting to define their brows and have them looking natural. This has given me more confidence then I normally have as I used to use brow pencils and my brows would always look smudged or rub off by the end of the day. Such a fantastic product!

My eyebrows have forever been the bane of my existence. My hair tone is fair and as a result, I have often joked that I don't have any eyebrows. I do... they are just incredibly blonde and incredibly fine (albeit they seem to grow sporadically). So, with this in mind, when I say I personally know the struggle with eyebrow make up, believe me, I know the struggle! Let's start with the quick answer you're looking for, would I buy this again? YES! After many, many attempts at different products, I settled on the tried and tested simple eyebrow pencil and then if I was going out for a long day, some eyebrow gel on top. But let's face it, no matter how sharp you get that pencil, it is never going to give you hair like strokes. Enter the build-a-brow! A super fine tip and a smooth application immediately made me look like I had decent eyebrow hairs.. me! I loved being able to apply extra "hairs" where they are lacking and my eyebrows actually looked full! The best part was, I didn't need to reshape using concealer, it saved me so much time. What I would say though, is make sure you are gently applying the product, there is no need to press down or try to get more product out... Take your time on the first application! The gel application afterwards was a lot of fun, I styled my eyebrow hairs ladies and gentleman! It felt like they were not moving and I love that. No one likes a sweat removed brow. They did not however last the full 24 hours. As a busy mum, I am often either running to the office (I am always late), or chasing my almost 2 year old around and all the fun stuff in between, your girl needs a brow that will stay! But unfortunately, at the end of the day they were a little patchy (this might be just my application of it, and please note that I also do not use setting spray). The blonde shade for me was perfect! I often find that the blonde shade can be a bit of a hit and miss, not in this case and I am super happy with the price point. Does this compare to having my brows professionally done? The way it looks, yes I think it does but the longevity not so much. Overall though, big hit!

I went in with high hopes for this product. At the start of the brow the pen gives a nice feathered brow look. However the rest of my brows need a bit more work to be fuller and fill in gaps, the pen unfortunately fell short. It was difficult to draw on the skin and gave a flat 2D appearance compared to my favourite Maybelline ultra slim brow pencil. The clear gel lift the brows and kept them in place but didn’t give the fuller brow laminated look I’m used to. Ideally this product would be great for someone with thicker brows who need a light touch up of sparse areas and to hold the brows in place.

I absolutely love this product. As somebody who is not very artistic nor am I great at doing my makeup, this was so easy to use. I've always been very nervous doing my brows, as it is often too dark, but this builds so delicately, and the end result is so much more natural. If I made a mistake, it was easy to clean. I tried it on my hand and it's so smooth. The worst thing is the dryness of eye liners you sometimes have to put water on it but this pencil was so nice to apply. I highly recommend this product. I used the Black Brown. Especially being 2 in 1 means fewer things in my makeup bag! I am not an expert and never know what product to get and using this was so easy honesty. I am so glad I got to review it!!!

I LOVE this product!! I usually use brow pencils to provide a more filled in look. I have brown eyebrows but always find they can look slightly sparse in some areas. This product comes in a handy box with information and pictures on the colour, how to apply and its benefits. It's a two in one gel which includes a sealing gel. I found the medium brown colour matched my brows perfectly and the filled in colour lasted all day. You can use the pen with heavy or light strokes to achieve the look you want. I am planning to buy this again when it runs out...very happy to have found it! Much better than the standard pencils which can look harsh at times.

The product was sent to me for a honest review by Beauty Crew. I just love the Maybelline New York Build-A-Brow. The amazing fine tip makes it easy to draw hair like strokes and the shade is perfect, very natural looking. Gives a very perfect fuller looking natural brows in no time. The sealing gel makes the brow last longer until the face next wash. My eyebrows looked very natural but gave them a fuller effect. The only thing which I didnt like is the sealing gel leaving a bit of a residue when dry. I will definitely recommend this product, as it g8ves very neat looking brows without much effort.

It’s good in a practical sense but may not be the best brow and gel pen out there. The colour pay off is good and it’s simple to use and relatively easy to control but it doesn’t last very long. Even after following instructions and letting it dry, the brow gel smudged lines and made it wet again, wasn’t the strongest holding gel either. Note I do have oily skin also so wouldn’t recommend as the product would like just slide off, I’d stick to using powder or pencil, something that’ll last longer.

I was excited to try this build a brow product but was disappointed by the product not dispensing from the wand, on first time use I thought it was light due to the initial use of the product however after shaking the pen and trying again the product still did not appear on my skin and I gave up after a couple of days of trying. Not sure if the product was old and the liquid had dried up or what. I did try looking it up on YouTube and followed the instructions but still had no luck in using it. I am disappointed but would try this product again as the idea sounded really good.

I really wanted to love this product as the combo of a gel and liquid in one package is super appealing! Unfortunately it took too long to get any noticeable results. The product isn’t pigmented enough and required multiple applications to visibly show on my brows. I did achieve a nice result after putting the time and effort in, but it’s just not something I’d regularly reach for. I also found the gel spoolie to be too small. The gel consistency was fine but definitely nothing groundbreaking.

There are a lot of things I did like about this product, but ultimately maybelline Build-A-Brow was not for me. I have light and sparse brows. I found it difficult to ensure equal product distribution on both sides - so my biggest issue was mismatched brows. On an individual basis, I likes the ease of use, the tiny brush and gel to set, but I just could not get both sides even, which I don't usually have an issue with using other products. I also found it not as long lasting as I would expect. A couple of times I did smudge it into the surrounding skin across the day. I am sure this can be a great product, but it just wasn't right for me.

I've never used a brow pen product before as I have shaky hands and feel I would mess up the application. Surprisingly, this product is very easy to apply. I started off with small light strokes and built my way up to darker strokes. I'm very impressed at how easy this brow pen is to use. The brush on the other end makes fluffling your brows a dream and really does give a natural finish. The product stayed on pretty much on all day. Definitely worth the purchase if you are looking for a brow pen.

This was a really easy to use brow product that actually looked quite natural given its a liquid formula. I was originally concerned that i would struggle to apply this nicely and i’d look like i used sharpie on my eyebrows, but it was actually quite a fine tip and was easy to make natural looking hair strokes to fill in my sparse areas. I don’t know how this would look if you used it to fully structure your eyebrows because i used it for a very soft, fill in gaps look but i think with the right application it can look really natural if thats the look you’re going for The gel was handy to have and i liked the applicator but it wasn’t the strongest hold eyebrow gel I’ve used so if you have very unruly brows you might need an extra strong hold product separate to this Id buy this again though for sure! Perfect for handbag and little touchups on the go with the dual end design too

Overall, I was extremely impressed and satisfied with this product. My usual go-to for my eyebrows is a powder, which I often find makes my eyebrows look 'blocky' and I find myself trying to remove some of the powder afterwards to give myself a more natural overall look. This product was fantastic in that it allowed me to fill in any gaps in my brows, as well as give me that natural brow look that I am going for. The application of this product is super easy, and the brush tip allows you to spend time lightly feathering in your brows if you wish. The fact that it also comes with a gel to lock-in your eyebrows afterwards is a plus. I did find myself going over my brows again with a brush just to touch them up but that isn't really necessary. I also found that the colour I got, medium brown, matched my natural hair colour perfectly which was a bonus. My only reason for giving 4 stars is due to the price of the product, and the amount that comes in the pen. I find I am already slowly running out and I don't feel that I have overly used it that much. Overall, I loved using this product and will look out for it in stores (hopefully on sale!)

I am a Maybelline stan but this product did not deliver for me and I would not purchase it again. I have quite thick, full brows and I found that the thin tip just did not apply nice strokes on my brows. Instead I found the tip just got product in random gaps in my eyebrows rather than nice hair like strokes as my hairs got in the way. A positive though is that once I did eventually get enough product on to my liking it did wear well throughout the day! I really liked the idea of the gel end as part of a two in one product but unfortunately the spoolie was not long enough to tame my brows easily and I found the it did not hold my eyebrows in place all day. Overall I can absolutely see the appeal of this product and do think that it would suit people with thinner/finer brow hairs but unfortunately it did not suit me.

I was blessed with fine hair on my eyebrows and a very light brown colour. If you look closely, you can barely see them. To the point where I usually don’t bother with any maintenance. In the past I have used various eyebrow pencils to try and fill in the gaps but they never looked quite right. Not sure if it is because I have never actually seen myself with proper eyebrows before, but I never felt comfortable with darker eyebrows. I received the lightest shade of this product and was slightly concerned as it looked darker than I was expecting. However, when I applied the product it matched quite well. The brush is very fine and allows for very accurate drawing. I found I didn’t need to use much pressure and my eyebrows filled in quite quickly. As the colour was darker than expected I did have to fill in all my eyebrows to get them to match, not just the ends which are a lighter colour. The product also came with a setting gel which came with a brush. There was no smell observed and the product went on quite easily and set the eyebrows in place. The only downside is that the product did leave my eyebrows feeling as if they were coated in a light glue, but if you don’t touch and just look you wouldn’t know anything was there. So, all my other eyebrow products have been tossed in the bin and this is now my go to product. I actually have eyebrows now that look natural and I am comfortable with. I highly recommend this product to all my fellow eyebrowless people.

Loved this product. For years I've put fixing my too-thin eyebrows in the too-hard and too-expensive basket. Especially after a beauty counter expert suggested I steer clear of tweezers altogether (especially once she heard I plucked while watching TV, which is so very Captain Risky). I was alarmed to be told that my right brow was 'in rehab'. So, my hopes for Amy Winehouse and Lisa Left Eye looking lush again were low. Much to my surprise, this product was both easy to use and effective. With gentle, upward strokes of the pen (I used the ash brown shade) my sketchy brows appeared to return from hair heaven. The setting gel held them nicely in place again for the whole day. My only slight criticism - I'm sure you've figured out from this that I'm no spring chicken, and the directions had such a small point size that this Gen-Xer had to take a pic of the side of the box and enlarge it to read what it said. Happily, the instructions were so obvious that they were barely needed anyway. And my teenage daughter hasn't told me I look ridiculous or asked why I'm walking around permanently surprised so I'm taking that as a win. Highly recommended.

This brow product is nice and easy to use, and I have found it handy to throw in my gym bag for an all-in-one everyday brow product. For me, the product works best to deliver a more natural looking brow, and does have decent longevity in terms of performance. I wasn't super impressed with the individual components, I do think that there are better options out there at a similar price point, but the handiness of having both the pencil and gel in one product does have it's benefits. I probably wouldn't repurchase at full price, but if I could pick it up with a considerable discount I would consider it.

I was excited to trial this product. I was lucky to get the exact shade match I needed which was the soft brown and the colour was spot on. I have sparse eyebrows so this type of product is ideal for me. I'm a child of the 90s with the thin eyebrows trend at the time which is now giving me grief when a fuller eyebrow is the way to go. Anyway, the first time I used it, I seemed to get a bit of a result, but then it just didn't seem to want to work. I couldn't get the application of the 'strokes' needed to build how I wanted it to look which resulted in a lopsided appearance. When I wiped it off and tried to apply again, the pen didn't want to dispense any product. It may be my (lack of) technique, but I wouldn't purchase this product in the future.

I was excited to get this product to try out as I haven’t used a lot of make up lately but usually use some kind of brow products. This is different to any brow products I have used before. The pen has a very fine and very flexible tip and on the other end is a gel to finish off the brow. When I first opened the product and drew with the pen I wasn’t sure that it was working. I have very dark brows so I couldn’t see that any product was coming out. Eventually I started seeing more of the product and colour. You really have to get the movement right and also draw the brows in slowly over time. It does give a more natural look than a pencil or a pomade does. If you want that very natural look then this is a great product but if you want a bold brow, it may take a while for you to fill in the brows to create a bolder look. The gel brush is quite small (smaller than a mascara brush) and I quite like it. It helps finish and set your brows without feeling crunchy. Although if you do apply too much it can start feeling crunchy. Overall I quite like this but you it does take time to fill in the brows
