Maybelline New York Color Sensational® Lip Color

I have the shade 205 Nearly There, which is a natural shimmering neutral nude with some shine. The label says that it's made in the U.S. This shade is very wearable and flattering, and I love how emollient it is. There isn't a heavy scent to it. It stays comfortable, leaves lips moisturised for hours and doesn't dry out with time, it feels as good as a lip balm. As for staying power, it's good after drinks but touch-up is necessary after meals. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality given the low drugstore price.  Highly recommended for those who like sheer and moisturising lipstick formulas.

I purchased the Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Color in the shade ‘Pink Sand’ after having used a couple of the Stripped Nudes lipsticks.  The packaging on these lipsticks is rather bland but at least they stand out in my stash of lipsticks.  However, it is the lipstick itself that is important.  As they say, ‘never judge a book by its cover’.  ‘Pink Sand’ is a shimmery, pearly pink and feels very moist and slippery.   I didn’t realise at the time I bought the lipstick that it was so pearly but, although it’s not something I would normally choose, I’m making good use of the lipstick.  The pigmentation is not at all strong and even applying a couple of coats does not add much colour, but nevertheless it’s a pretty shade.  I also use the lipstick as a conditioner while at home, or when I go out I apply it over a dull looking lipstick to give it a bit of life.  It sort of adds a bit of shimmer.  The texture is very light and creamy, and the lipstick is very hydrating.  My lips never feel dry when I wear this lipstick. These lipsticks are definitely sensational and I’m quite happy to recommend them.
