NIVEA Daily Essentials Rich Moisturising Day Cream SPF 30+

I have been searching for an affordable day cream with a high SPF that works for my skin but unfortunately this wasn't it!  This formula is just a bit too heavy. On application it leaves a bit of a film on my skin. After applying my makeup with a light dusting of loose powder to mattify my face looks fine but after a few hours my face feels like a greaseball. I'm guessing it is the sunscreen that has the oily effect. I seem to have much more success if I use a moisturiser first followed by a separate sunscreen. I also found this moisturiser to be too heavily scented. It would be much nicer if the fragrance was toned down a bit. The cream is thick and white and comes in the classic Nivea jar. Some people don't like creams packaged in jars but I quite like that you can get every last bit out to use it up.  Although I wasn't wowed by this moisturiser it isn't the worst I've tried. I have used it on very sunny days and have not been the slightest bit sunburnt so that is a big plus. I will continue to use it up but will probably keep the blotting paper close by to get rid of the shine. This formula may work a lot better for someone with very dry or mature skin. It's a very affordable product and can often be found on special so it's no great loss if it's not the perfect day cream. You never know, it might just work for you!

A great little bargain, with SPF 30+ to boot!  I don't have dry or sensitive skin, and I found that this moisturiser didn't leave my skin greasy or oily, just nicely moisturised, and soft .  It's great that it also has SPF30+ in it, and it's a really reasonable price.  Easy to scoop it out the jar, and you don't need much product to get a good coverage.  Definitely worth a try.

I use this moisturiser every day on my face before applying foundation and additional makeup. I find it regulates my skin really well, and I have never been irritated by it. I love that it has SPF and I have been using it for years now.
