I’m loving the Nivea Q10 Power night cream, it’s a beautiful thick rich creamy night cream that somehow isn’t heavy or clogs pores. It has the traditional ‘Nivea’ scent to it that doesn’t seem to irritate my sensitive nose.
After using this for around a month I noticed that my skin seemed brighter and smoother and my crows feet were slowly reducing. So far there has been no visible change to the wrinkles on my forehead but hopefully time will help.
Nivea just launched their more powerful version recently. Having more creatine, creatinine and Q10 in the formula. Love that it has macadamia oil and shea butter in it too. Scent is classic Nivea, beautiful, fresh but not too strong luckily (less than 0.1 %, last in the ingredients list). Cream is white and rich but not oily or heavy! Somehow light, quite light for my combo to oily skin, but so nourishing. I have big pores and this cream does not clog them up. Every evening I apply quite a layer and in the morning wake up with soft and bouncy skin. After couple of weeks of using the cream, my skin has maintained its hydration and elasticity. I have no wrinkles , so can not say if the cream does anything in this aspect. And, one would need to use it a few months daily to see results with the day cream anyways. These things do not happen overnight.
My skin just looks so healthy when using it regularly. No bumps, no pimples even when having that time of the month thing happening. The cream is also very affordable. The formula is free of nasties too.
Feels like luxury....thick, smooth and lightly fragranced. Quickly absorbed and not greasy on the skin. Highly recommended to anyone seeking a deep hydrating but light feeling night cream.
This cream comes in jar packing which is easy to use but ingredient can not remain stable. The cream has thick and silky texture similar to Nivea soft cream. The smell of both creams are also same. The cream is rich and small amount is enough for face and neck, while it does not absorb easily. A thin greasy layer can be feel after using it, but it is a night cream so it does not matter. After few days of use, I felt that dry areas of my face were well hydrated but T zone and cheeks were too much greasy. I saw little pimples on my cheeks, then I stopped using it on my oily areas of my face. I just used it on dry areas around mouth and eyes.
I did not feel any difference in my skin after using it for weeks. although I do not have wrinkles but I was expecting well hydrated glowing skin. My skin was still dehydrated and dull even for months of using it on my dry areas of face. I have found that in the ingredients list there is some irritants like Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol but it does not irritate me because these are in a very small amount
Overall, this cream is OK for me. It is a not pricey but packing can not keep ingredients stable. I can not say that I will recommend it or not, because it depends on personal choices. I do not like jar packing but may be some people find it attractive.
A little pot of confidence booster :) When you notice those first little lines start to appear it can send you into a panic! Never fear, Q10's here! I've been using this for around 3 years now and I just love it. It has a very delicate fragrance and a lovely rich feel without being greasy. Just pop it on a clean face before bedtime and wake up feeling wonderful. Boom!
I love the thick, creaminess of NIVEA Q10 Plus Anti-WrinkleNight Cream but I find I can only use it during Winter when my skin feel really dry. If I use this product in Summer my skin breaks out because of its richness. However, it really brings my skin on my neck, face and décolletage back to life in Winter.
It is lightly scented and comes in glass jar that can be repurposed.
My only complaint is that because I have naturally, long nails, the product does get under my nails but perhaps it is doing them good too.
Replying to From NIVEA:
Hi Glenda, Thanks for your feedback. You are spot on! The experience you are having with the product is ultimately due to your skintype and this product not being suitable. In winter, dry skin needs nourishing and as such NIVEA Q10 Plus Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream is perfect. In summer while our skin needs moisture it may not need a thicker product. In those cases I would recommend a lighter cream or fluid. Hope that helps.
