NYX Professional Makeup Shine Killer Primer

I love NYX products and loved this primer. I have an oily tzone and found this primer controlled this really well. It has a nice smooth silky consistency and glides on easily, it also feels really light to wear, no stickiness. It also helped to minimise my pores which was a bonus, especially good for the nose area, this is a great product for humid days to control oil and shine. It makes a nice smooth base for makeup and at under $22.00 it’s a fabulous price, great value, especially as a little goes a long way. This is a great product for keeping my face fresh, especially in summer. I will be buying this again and would recommend it.

This comes in a small black plastic tube. It comes out thick & very faintly scented. A little amount does go a long way so this has lasted me ages. I am pretty disappointed because it doesn't do what it is supposed to I.e. keep shine away. I have oily T-zones so I need to touch up after 3-4 hours of makeup. I apply primer a few minutes after sunscreen and before base makeup.  Unfortunately, Nyx's Shine Killer primer made absolutely no difference whatsoever and I won't be repurchasing. I still found myself having to touch up as usual and noticed no oil control.  I tried it with different foundations & CC creams and even on it's own but with no success. It has all the right ingredients but just didn't work for me.  Pros - a little amount lasts a long time, affordable  Cons - very short acting, did not control shine

I will probably try another primer when I run out of this one, but I don't think this is a bad primer, and I may end up repurchasing it in the future. It does help keep my skin from getting too oily, and it helps minimize my pores. I mainly use it in the T-zone, over any moisturizer or sunscreen, under any foundation, bb cream, or powder. I use it with Rimmel's Stay Matte translucent powder. Using these two products keeps my skin looking fresh in the heat and humidity.

I love this product! Cheap and cheerful. I have oily skin and I often put a small amount of this over makeup on my nose (shine central) and it looks refreshed and shine free. I will always buy this product I'm in love!
