Deeply hydrating, plumping, firming
This is a lovely thick rich cream which is perfect for those with dry skin or for a night cream. Containing amino peptide complex it renews the skins layers, it plumps my skin overnight for a more youthful appearance. It sinks in immediately and leaves skin smooth, soft and supple. It comes packaged nicely in red and silver and the jar is easy to use to get the right amount of cream to spread with fingers or a spatula. When I use this my fine lines are visibly smaller and skin looks brighter. A great product
Good moisturiser with niacinamide and peptides
This is part of Olay's anti-aging Regenerist line, and is recommended by them if you are looking for a moisturiser with a higher concentration of niacinamide (Vit B3). Olay won't tell you the percentage of course, but niacinamide is listed as the fourth ingredient (Olay confirms that the ingredients list is ordered from highest concentration to lowest concentration). There is a fragranced version, but I highly recommend getting this fragrance-free version even if you don't mind the fragrance, as pamitoyl-pentapeptide (also known as Matrixyl) is listed much earlier in the ingredients list . Niacinamide regulates sebum production, reduces fine lines and fights hyperpigmentation, whilst Matrixyl has anti-aging benefits and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Apart from niacinamide and matrixyl, the formula also contains Vit E, Hyaluronic acid, glycerin for hydration.
The moisturiser comes in a jar, so it's best to use a spatula or clean fingers to apply. The texture goes on a bit greasy at first, absorbs completely in time on my combination skin.
Personally I prefer to use serums for maximum concentration of actives, but this is a good product for those who have normal to dry skin and just want to use a moisturiser that already incorporates some anti-aging indredients because they don't want to use serums in a separate step.
Was happy to be gifted this moisturizer to try. As the cleanser and one in 7 cream were big disappointments that put me off getting anything else from Olay I would never try this cream otherwise.
My skin: mid aged, sun damaged (pigmentation), oily to combo, huge pores, prone to dehydration. Love to use actives to correct pigmentation that work on my skin (B3, acids, retinol...)
As I love to use vitB3 already was excited to see that the cream has it as a 4th ingredient. Towards the end is sodium hyaluronate and very last peptide (means almost none). The rest fillers and emollients. I use this rich cream as a last step of my skincare routine in the evening only. As during the day I only use corrective serums. My skin type does not handle too much stuff on as it naturally produces 'moisturizer'. But when I overdo with acids, retinol etc...it is nice to cocoon the skin overnight in something oclusive to prevent moisture loss. This cream is good for that.
Overpriced for the simplicity of formula. It is is made in Thailand. But luckily you can find it most of the time 1/2 price in the local supermarket, priceline or chemist warehouse.
