Revlon Colorstay Suede Ink™ Lipstick

I saw these on sale and decided to buy a red one. I have to say the packaging of this Revlon Colorstay Suede Ink™ Lipstick Is gorgeous and it’s very easy to use. Unlike other Matte lipsticks in the market this doesn’t dry your lips. The texture is creamy and super smooth. My lips didn’t feel dry at all. The colour is really pigmented so you don’t have to apply many layers. It also passed the time test. It stayed on the whole day until I removed it with a make up wipe. It didn’t smudge or bleed or fade during the day at all. I didn’t even have to do a touch up after having my lunch. Might be a different story if you eat something oily but it didn’t fade when I ate my lil lunch.

This is truly one of the best matte lipsticks I have ever tried. I used the shade gut instinct which is flattering and quite natural and I loved it. This has a really unique formula for a matte lipstick, it goes on so easily, no dragging like I have found with some matte lipsticks and no drying. It goes on quite creamy, almost suede like and dries to a beautiful matte finish. It lasts for ages without coming off, I can eat, have a coffee and still don’t need to reapply and it never smudges. It’s a great price and great value for money and I love the classy luxe black packaging with lid that matches the colour of the lipstick so it’s easy to find the colour you are looking for. I am going to try more colours. Love this lipstick and would recommend it

Very pigmented and long lasting, but unlike other long wear lipsticks it was very easy to wear. I did not find it drying and the colour was the perfect shade for me. Something that i would recommend and purchase different colours once they become available. Zero smudging and layered well with gloss over the top for a different look. I was shocked over how hydrating it was considering my experience with long wear lipsticks in the past have been very drying and not easy to wear. Packaging was nice and felt very high end considering the brand. I don't often look to drug store products and tend to prefer high end but after using this it made me remember how much i previously loved Revlon products and will look to purchase in the future.

I absolutely loved this lipstick! The formula is so unique and like no other. It glided on like a dream and stayed all day for work. What I loved most about it was the colour payoff. I didn't have to put on multiple swipes as one swipe did the trick! It was absolutely stunning and It was sooo creamy. The colour is so flattering and wasn't patchy at all. I would highly recommend this lipstick to anyone looking for a long lasting comfortable lip colour for the day. It lasts me the whole working day and is really amazing!

I tried the shade Bread Winner which pulled a deep, warm red on my neutral / fair skin tone. The staying power of this lipstick is exceptional and wore well through the day, only wearing off after eating an oily meal. The finish is a true matte with absolutely no shine! This does mean the feel is a little dry though this option is definitely less drying and more comfortable than other matte lipsticks I have tried in the past. The pigment is deep and the application is super easy thanks to the wide, flat, bullet shape. Marks lost only for still not being particularly hydrating or comfortable compared to other lip products, but overall I was impressed with the formula and would recommend this option to matte lipstick enthusiasts without hesitation.

I tried this lipstick in the colour Gut Instinct, which is a lovely pinky-brown colour that just enhances your natural lip colour. The colour itself is beautiful, really wearable and perfect for everyday wear. The lipstick is easy to apply, sets quickly and does not budge or smudge at all. It lasted throughout the day fine too. The product is a matte formula which is not normally my go-to but it didn’t look overly matte or dry. My only negative comment is that it feels very dry on your lips so best to pair with a balm or gloss on top.

So so happy with this lipstick. Love the built in primer and the gorgeous matte look. I wear 16, which was called 'breadwinner' which was a deep red. On my skin tone it was a lovely red, and the colour was beautiful. I loved that the matte was truly matte, and lasted for the whole night. The product promotes eight hours of smudge-proof finish, and I would say it was true. I loved that the lipstick felt very soft and felt like I wasn't wearing anything at all. The added vitamin E helped to keep my lips hydrated so they didn't get dry whilst wearing. Had excellent stay power, great colour and a real matte lipstick! Great price point, would certainly recommend this again!

The lipstick left a matte finish which can be wear for day long. I put it in the morning before going to the office, and at the end of the office of 8 hours noticed almost the same as morning. It doesn’t leave mark on your coffee mag which is very essential if you are a coffee or tea person. It keeps the light weight finish. I am now pretty fan of The Revlon Colorstay Suede Ink Lipstick in shade 001 Gut Instinct. Just a little thing could be better is that reduced dryness, for which you need to put extra little bit of lip balm or lipgloss over it. Otherwise I am satisfied with the product, will definitely recommend it.

I tried Revlon's ColorStay Suede Ink Lipstick in Gut Instinct (001). It was lovely and suited my skin tone. After drying down, it feels uncomfortable and heavy. It is quite a dryish lipstick, so if you like well-moisturised lips then it may not be for you. W earing this with and without a lip treatment/balm applied beforehand I find that this lipstick does appear a little feathered and patchy half way throughout the day.The staying power of this lipstick is quite impressive. I generally put it on in the morning and that's it. I can get through a busy work day on one coat of lipstick. Easy to remove with a cleanser especially for long wearing make-up.

I have been sent the Revlon Colorstay Suede Ink Lipstick 001 gut instinct. The colour is beautiful dusty rose with a surprising tinge of light pink which I love. The Lipstick is squarely packaged, very sophisticated look with the colour of lipstick lid matching very closely to the lipstick colour which is very handy & convenient when rushing out to. Once applied onto the lips, it feels kind of dry and unnoticeable. The matte colour resembles very much like having suede velvet lips, and transfer was very minimal which is fantastic as that generally deters me from wearing any lipsticks. Although the finish is matte, it does not leave my lips feeling dry but I did notice it made the lines in my lips stand out. Overall I still quite liked it for the beautiful colour and velvet effect on my lips.

I received the Revlon Colorstay Suede Ink Lipstick in the shade 001 Gut Instinct. The dusty rose colour of this lipstick is absolutely stunning. The packaging of this lipstick is simple but elegant. The lipstick glides on effortlessly, and looks simply stunning. I had only very minor issues with transfer but nothing worth complaining about. If you don't like a super matte feeling lipstick then this might not be for you or you could maybe give it a try with some lipgloss over the top. I highly recommend this product.

I received a beautiful shade called Gut Instinct! I have pretty pale skin with bright pink hair and I found this colour complemented my colouring perfectly. The formula feels lightweight and is easy to apply, I find the built in primer ensures it also applies smoothly with no imperfections. A lot of lipsticks dry my lips out but this lipstick was very comfortable to wear and had great coverage on the lips! I reapplied after eating oily pasta and it easily reapplied, some lipsticks go patchy once reapplied. I’m keen to try out the other colours!

I have the Revoln Colorstay Suede Ink Lipstick 016 Bread Winner. The colour reminds me of a beautiful glass of Shiraz and great for a much needed statement lipstick. The packaging of the lipstick is great and overall very simple to use. The lipstick is very Matt and almost dry feeling and I would suggest a clear gloss onto. However it does last and stays on the lip very well so great on night outs and any Occassion you do not want your lipstick to wear away especially a red one. My personal preference would for it to have a little more moisturiser in it to feel more nourishing on the lips instead of dry.

This lipstick is actually a bit different! I don't think I own one matte lipstick that doesn't dry out my lips, but this one doesn't! It glides on like its got silicon in it or something, without sucking all the moisture from my lips. It doesn't add any slip or shine to the lips. The lipstick then remains transfer proof and ends with a nice stain the lasts for hours. I didn't notice any bleeding of colour from the edges on my lips. The shade I had was a beautiful pinky red colour on me and can be built up in intensity for richer colour. The only thing I will say is, the packaging is clunky and feels a little bit cheap, it's not sleak or anything. I would definitely buy it again!

The colour of my lipstick is a mate dusty rose, which can be worn both day and night. Normally I can't stand the feeling of a mate lipstick, for instance when it starts to dry out. So therefore, when this started occurring I used a clear gloss over the top. As gloss runs out quickly, the bottom colour stayed for nearly the whole day! When it says it is like 'ink' they meant it, therefore, when you are putting it on you have to be careful to do it properly as it is hard to move once it is on. I suggest using this lipstick with a lip liner, to help define the edges better. Also, if you are not a fine of drying lipsticks. You should incorporate a balm or gloss to help hydrate your lips as they do dry out quite harshly. Overall this colour is beautiful and I love it, just wish it was more hydrating. But that is just my preference

I trialled this lipstick in the shade "Bread Winner 016". It's a darkish red that will complement most complexions, in my opinion. The tube has a mostly accurate representation of the color on it. In order to open the lipstick I had to remove the stickers with all the information which was a bit of an annoyance because I like to see how many months from opening the lipstick can be used and I'm unable to memorise that. You have to be careful when putting the cap back on if you don't want to damage the tip of the lipstick, small annoyance. The formula is really good. Creamy as you apply and dries down quickly but you still have time to fix any mistakes. If you don't want to feel it on your lips a very light layer will be enough. Layering it on thicker makes it only marginally brighter but noticeably less comfortable to wear. The finish is semi matte and eventually makes your lips feel drier than usual but nothing significant. Probably won't look good on chapped lips. I like that it doesn't leave any marks on teeth and is kiss/water proof. As it wears off it leaves a slight tint on your lips so it doesn't look like there's something wrong. Over all, I like this lipstick very much. Even started googling where to get more shades. Usually I don't enjoy wearing lipsticks: they smudge, wear off, feel too present on the lips. This one gives you good coverage in a thin layer and it almost feels like you're not wearing anything at all.

Highly recommend this beautiful easy to wear shade. The packaging is sleek and light, but reminiscent of the Revlon brand. Application is also awesome, while it is a suede matte, it isn’t overly drying on the lips. However if you want to put some gloss or ointment over the top for that gym lips look that was trending a few months back, that’s fine too. There isn’t a distinct scent to this product, which is great for those who more sensitive towards fragrance. Will happily use this again, and it’s a great lip product for the price.

REVIEW/crew Revlon Colourstay Ink Lipstick Review I've always been a fan of Revlon lipsticks and I'm never disappointed in their colour options - this particular lipstick goes on smooth but I found it didn’t last as long as I’d expect given it’s supposed to last up to 8 hours. The packaging is really gorgeous though, I love the square tube and that it comes wrapped like a lolly, nice for hygiene etc in this current climate. Overall I was surprised to see another matte range from Revlon , I feel as though the matte trend has been out for a while and people are looking to more hydrated glowy looks. I probably wouldn’t purchase but would recommend for s someone needing something that has staying power like a dancer or flight attendant etc

It's been awhile since I've been impressed with Revlon. Honestly their lipsticks have not been my kind of formula that I look for. There is no scent, and the packaging is sleek and well made with a nice tight close. I received the shade 016 Bread Winner. What a stunning blue based red colour!!! It really feels like you are wearing nothing. The staying power of the lipstick is impressive, though reapplication can be a bit tricky. But it is so smooth, it just glides over your lips. The cons of the product would have to be the rounded shape, it is really hard to get defined lines with out a point to the bullet. When they are released I'm definitely going to find some in more muted every day shades for myself!
