Dewy shimmer
I’ve honestly been loving the Revlon Glimmer Super Balm! I’m always a fan of products that make my makeup routine easier, and this one is such a lovely little addition to my makeup kit. I love how versatile it is because I can use it as a highlighter, blush or bronzer, depending on the look I’m going for. It’s perfect for those days when I want my skin to look fresh, healthy and glowy without putting on too much makeup.
One of my favourite things is how easily it blends into the skin. The texture feels so smooth and lightweight, and it doesn’t leave that sticky or heavy feeling that some glow products can. The finish is beautiful and gives just the right amount of radiance without looking too shimmery or over the top. I also love that it feels moisturising on the skin.
I’ve been enjoying how easy it is to wear both on its own and over makeup. It’s one of those products you can quickly apply when you’re in a rush but still want to look a little more put together. I love a natural, dewy makeup look, so this seem an easy addition to my routine.
Overall, I’m really impressed with how easy and versatile this balm is. It’s practical, feels lovely on the skin and gives such a pretty glow. Definitely a product I’d happily keep reaching for and recommend to anyone who loves fresh, radiant looking skin
Easy summer glow finish
Firstly I’m a fan of the wider packaging to make it easier to access! I found to to be a very easy to apply and buildable highlighter/gentle bronzing glow. It’s definitely more for those my skin but better, natural vibes sort of look.
I found the balm to be very moisturising so it didn’t look like it had dried out my skin etc. I applied it with my fingers as I wasn’t sure how else to apply it? It doesn’t seem like the kind of product that can be applied with a brush or a pad. I feel like I’d have less control over the amount of product applied if I used something like that. For a summer Australian vibe I think it’s perfect! But I’m not sure it would be my go too for going out looks or everyday looks
Summer glow ready!
I was pleasantly surprised by the Revlon Glimmer balm. I trialed shade 02 - Cocktail Hour, which was a beautiful champagne shade.
This balm was soft and easy to work with. The product blends well, is buildable and I found it worked well on top of foundation or on its own for a more natural, sun-kissed glow.
The balm is great value for money and quality wise comparable to high end products on the market.
This product would definitely be versatile for different skin types, as it doesn’t feel oily, stick to dry patches, or enhance pores.
The shade has become a staple for me and coming into the summer months I will love using this product as part of my glow/clean makeup routine - on my cheeks and the bridge of my nose 💫
Beautiful glow, but not much colour payoff
The Revlon Glimmer Super Balm is a lovely product if you're after a glowy, dewy finish with a touch of shimmer. It gives the skin a beautiful luminous sheen and is great for adding a little extra radiance to your makeup look. However, I was a bit disappointed by the colour payoff. It's quite sheer and doesn't really give the pigmentation I'd expect from a blush. Personally, I'd describe it as more of a balmy highlighter than a traditional blush. I do enjoy the shine and shimmer it adds, and I think it's perfect for a natural, glowy makeup look. Just don't expect much colour from it! Overall, a pretty product for adding luminosity, but not something I'd reach for when I want a noticeable flush of colour.
Not too little and not too much
I was pleasantly surprised by how nice Revlon Glimmer Super Balm looks on the skin. It gives a soft, natural-looking sheen that catches the light without feeling tacky or looking too sparkly. I also like that it feels comfortable to wear and leaves everything looking fresh rather than overly shiny. It’s a nice option for days when you want to add a little something extra without going overboard. The only thing I’m unsure about is how well it would fit into my regular routine, as it feels more like an occasional treat than something I would use every day. Overall, I think it’s a lovely product for anyone who enjoys a subtle glow, although I’m not sure it’s something I would reach for on a regular basis.
Too subtle, but nice consistency.
I was fortunate enough to give this one a trial run. I have olive skin and I tried 005 Sunkissed, It is a lovely colour, and has a really nice sheen. but for me it was too subtle. I wore it over make up to see if this had a more prominent affect, but again was only a slight glow. This retails for $36.00, so I would recommend to buy on sale, if you wish to test it out. I will try again when the weather warms up and I have a natural tan, as I enjoyed how light weight it was, and its easy to blend. It may work better as a summer layer after a beach day, for a fresh look but won't really make a wow statement.
Perfect for radiant, glowy look
I really enjoy products that give the skin a beautiful glow without feeling heavy, and the Revlon Glimmer Super Balm is a lovely addition to my makeup routine. It has a smooth texture that makes application effortless, while the lightweight formula feels comfortable on the skin. The balm gives a subtle radiance without looking cakey or overly shimmery. I also like that the glow can be built up to suit different makeup looks, from a natural everyday sheen to a more luminous finish. I would definitely recommend this balm to anyone who loves fresh, glowing makeup and wants a product that is easy to use and gives the skin a beautiful, polished look. It’s definitely worth considering if you prefer a lightweight formula with a refined, radiant finish.
Has its benefits
I was lucky enough to be given the recon Glimmer Super balm to test out for the last 3 weeks, I have a few thoughts, this products definitely gives you the glowy sheen it says but there’s a few tips and tricks to the application, first of all you need to break the top layer a little to get the full genii of the pigment, secondly it doesn’t totally dry down and can lift foundation if not used correctly. This balm definitely has its purpose, if you tap lightly over a light to medium base or use it on your body for a beautiful sheen it’s great, I just wouldn’t recommend using it over a heavy foundation unless you want you base to lift, used as I said above it’s lovely!
Subtle or dramatic .. you get to decide
I really enjoyed the slight shimmer that the Revlon Glimmer Super balm offered. It gave me a natural glow that I enjoyed using as a highlighter and also a blush combination.
I applied it on top of my usual makeup early in the day and found it still lasting well into the night. The first time I wore it I was actually complimented on my glow.
I enjoyed the ability to add more layers to get my desired level of shimmer.
The only thing I didn't enjoy was the lack of applicator. I would have really enjoyed having some sort of application tool attached to the original container.
Great multi use product
Revlon’s Glimmer Super Balm is a standout for high-shine hydration without the stickiness. The formula feels incredibly smooth, melting into the lips to provide a soothing, buttery texture. The subtle shimmer catches the light perfectly, offering a plumped look that works over lipstick or on bare skin. It doubles beautifully as a cheek highlighter; just dab a tiny amount onto your cheekbones for a dewy, glass-skin finish that glows naturally. It is an effortless, versatile essential that feels luxurious and comfortable. Whether you are aiming for a fresh, minimal daytime look or adding a touch of radiant polish to an evening ensemble, this balm delivers consistent, high-quality results. It is a must-have for any makeup bag, blending skincare benefits with a sophisticated, light-reflecting glow.
Nice balmy and subtle blush and highlighter combo
I tried shade no 3 (Just a girl) and I think it is a nice balm when you want to have a no make-up day. Or want a bit of colour and have no time to do your make-up. This balm has a little bit of colour to it so it's a great blush and highlighter combo. I was worried it would look to shimmery on my oily skin but it added a nice glow (no big glittery particles in that formula). The colour was really nice.
I would recommend patting the product rather than spreading it to ensure it doesn't blend away. It is buildable and does fade but leaves a nice wash of colour. The texture is nice and feels slippery but it doesn't give you an oily finish and it settles on the skin quite well.
I don't think it will work great for my skin in the humid QLD summer but will be a nice addition to my make-up in winter. I wouldn't use as a skin base (due to the light shimmer) or on my eyelids (wouldn't stay put).
This product will be nice for people with dry skin, dull skin or combination skin in winter (or non-humid weather).
Not Revlon’s best
The Revlon Glimmer Super Balm was maybe a little better in theory than in practice. The formula and texture were lovely and easy to apply, but ultimately did not contain enough glimmer or shimmer to be useful as a product in its own right. The best use I got out of the Glimmer Super Balm was applying it over the top of a non-shimmery blush. It didn’t have enough pigment to be a blush in its own right, and not really enough shimmer to be a highlighter either. I also didn’t find it very long lasting - the glimmer was gone pretty quickly and I couldn’t build enough to make it very noticeable in the first place. A shame, as I generally love Revlon make up products!
Solid option to add some warmth to your face
I’ve been having fun experimenting with the Revlon Glimmer Super Balm in Bronze Rose. I found it easiest to apply with my fingers, as the warmth really helps it melt into the skin. I initially thought the colour looked quite dark, but once applied, it seemed to settle in beautifully and gave my skin a lovely bronze glow.
I’ve tried it on my cheeks as a bronzer and all over my face for an overall sun-kissed look, and I really liked the result. The pot makes it super easy to access and apply, and I didn’t notice any strong scent.
I was also happy that it didn’t seem to cause any breakouts, which was one of my initial concerns. I’m looking forward to experimenting with it more, especially as a glowy wash of colour on my eyelids
Light and Versatile
I tried this product as part of the beauty crew testing team, I really enjoyed using this product and seeing how versatile it is for so many different applications. This product has a very creamy texture and applies to the skin with ease. It is a light colour which does give you some grace when you are new to using it, it is buildable to some extent, but not as much as I imagined. It is great on bare skin for a real glow up on targeted areas. It was quite long lasting, but it did make my skin a bit oily throughout the day. I also used it as an eyeshadow which I really enjoyed.
Perfect Sun-Kissed Glow
I’ve been loving the Revlon Glimmer Super Balm in Bronze Noir! I like to dab a little onto my cheekbones and blend it out with my fingertips for a gorgeous sun-kissed glow. The warm bronze shade adds just the right amount of shimmer without looking glittery. I’ve also been using it on my eyelids for a quick, effortless makeup look. It feels creamy, blends beautifully and gives my skin a healthy, radiant finish. It’s become one of those products I keep reaching for, especially on minimal makeup days!
Great for a night look
I recieved the Revlon Glimmer Super Balm™ in 001 Chill Vibes, which is a silvery, shimmery highlighter. The positives: easy to use, handy little tub design, and applies really nicely. It is quite moisturizing and provides a subtle, easy to blend in shimmer.
I found it hard to see how this product would fit into my daily life, however. I think it's great for a night out to really make a look pop. But I found that it didn't really blend well with my foundation, and there's too much sheen for an average day at work.
Overall, I think it has its place, but I didn't find it to be an everyday kind of product.
Your summer glow
Lovely warm colour and shimmer, but I’d prefer a flip top compact with a pad to apply rather than a twist lid and needing your own blender tools. Will be my summer go to for fresh peachy cheeks. The amount of product is very generous and will last quite a while. The formula is smooth and creamy, holding solid as a balm so you don’t have to worry about it cracking if you travel with it on holidays or pop it in your bag on the go. The true test will be to see if it holds up to Australian summer temperatures both in the container and on the skin.
Beautiful glow
I reviewed the shade 001 chill vibes. I am a 34 year old woman with fair skin and I love a highlight on top of my makeup.
My first impression was this is a a gorgeous way to add highlight even if I am keeping my makeup minimal; it gives my pale skin an ethereal glow. I found this product easy to blend in with the fingers and I would consider this beginner friendly. I found this particular shade beautiful and clear and I was pleased I picked the lighter shade for my skin toneI also found the balm gave a sparkly sheer glow to anywhere it’s placed, you can easily use it over the whole body, I loved adding it to my collar bones and extremities.
I want to buy the other shades to add a subtle rosy glow. Initially you need to push down in the middle of the balm once you first open it to activate the product which is super satisfying.
I would say that it’s non greasy and stays a little balmy and doesn’t dry out the skin which is really nice
Super quick to add to the makeup routine but very effective once on the skin; I found that it had great packaging with ample amount of product and will last me a long time. Overall I found this to be beautiful on bare skin, only thing I will add is it does appear like dots of glitter on the skin which may not always the desired effect. It reminds me of Chanel highlight I used to use that was my mothers many moons ago.
"Break the seal" of product
I was excited to try this multi balm as I like products that have multiple uses and which I can take on the go. This multi-use face balm is meant to be used as a highlighter, bronzer, blush, and glow booster and so I tried it for all uses. Initially I found I wasn't able to get a lot of product with my sponge or fingers but the trick is to 'break the top seal' using your finger by warming the formula to activate it. I was then able to use my finger or sponge to blend the product onto high points of my face.
I also used it under foundation and it lasts a while, is easy to blend and can be built up depending on the sheen you like. I enjoyed using this product, it was easy to blend and I favoured it more as a highlighter and bronzer as well as under my foundation for a sun-kissed glow.
Chill Vibes
Once you have broken the top layer and really get into this balm it is so beautiful on the skin.
I tried colour 001 chill vibes and it speaks to its name. Its a slight little shimmer, brightening over the top of your foundation just helping brighten the face. Its dewy and doesnt harden or cake in places amd is buildable if you wamt more defination.
If im honest i would only buy it when its on special again, its a bit pricey full price but i would be really keen to try the darker shades.
Would recommond for anyone looking for easy but subtle shimmer.
