Great SPF lip balm

It is a great light weight product. I got cloud kiss transparent and used it on my daily lip routine. This product includes SPF, so it gives me some sun protection on this sunny summer. The lip balm is not very sticky, but like oil texture, which I love. The only issue I concern about is the taste. I guess the SPF formula cause the not very pleasant taste. It slowly went through me from lips to tongue while I am wearing it. I wish they put some fruit taste in to even out the SPF funny ingredients lingering in my mouth. Otherwise, nice product.

Cute, Comfortable & Sun-Safe

I love the concept of this product - there really aren't many options on the market that offer a coloured lip gloss with SPF 50, so that immediately stood out to me. Living in Australia, proper sun protection is non-negotiable, and it genuinely put my mind at ease knowing my lips were protected while still looking cute and put together. I didn't feel like I had to compromise between skincare and makeup, which was a hugeee plus, This particular shade wasn't quite right for my complexion but that is purely personal preference. The formula felt comfortable, smooth and hydrating on the lips. It is slightly sheer, so if you're after intense pigment this might not be the one, but I appreciate that i wasn't sticky or stringy like some glosses can be. The only small downside for me was the scent, it has a slightly unusual smell that may not suit those who are sensitive to fragrances. Overall though, I think it's a fantastic practical option for everyday wear, and great to protect against the sun!

Light and hydrating!

I really liked this lip-gloss and I don't usually like them at all! I think they're usually thick and sticky but this glided on with a light consistency and not sticky at all. I never think about protecting my lips so having spf in this product was a nice bonus. I don't normally like pink shades but it was a nice pop of colour, I can't wait to try the other shades! For very limited effort you can look very put together whilst protecting your lips from the sun. I would highly recommend this product!

Does not come out of the packaging evenly, sputters a little which can lead to product getting on clothes etc. This could be due to the limited amount of product in larger packaging. The formula feels a little grainy on my lips and became too sticky for me, I understand its a gloss but maybe it's just too thick for my liking. I like that it has such a high spf, really important for the Australian sun. The colour was quite nice as well, not too dark and went well with makeup. I would like to see more work done regarding the formulation and packaging if I was to consider actually purchasing this product.

Absolutely must have item

I recently purchased the Revlon Illuminance™ Gloss Balm SPF50+ and it has quickly become part of my daily routine. The formula feels lightweight and smooth, never sticky or heavy, and it gives a beautiful glossy finish with a soft wash of colour. The tint is natural but buildable, making it perfect for both casual daytime wear and a more polished look. The SPF50+ protection is a standout feature, especially for harsh sun exposure, and it keeps my lips feeling hydrated and comfortable for hours without settling into fine lines.

Standout with SPF50+

I recently purchased the Revlon Illuminance Gloss Balm SPF50 in the shade Dusty Rose and have been really impressed. The formula feels lightweight and smooth on the lips, with a glossy finish that isn’t sticky or heavy. Dusty Rose is a beautiful everyday shade a soft pink with a natural tone that enhances your lips without looking overdone. It’s perfect for minimal makeup days but still polished enough to pair with a full face. One of the standout features is the SPF50 protection. Living in Australia, proper sun protection is essential, and I love that this product combines colour, shine and high SPF in one easy step. It makes reapplying throughout the day simple and convenient. The hydration is comfortable and keeps my lips feeling soft, although like most gloss balms, I do need to reapply after eating or drinking. Overall, it’s a great everyday lip product that delivers shine, subtle colour and serious sun protection all in one.

Great tint and not overly glossy

Thanks BeautyCrew for sending the product sample to review. It’s got a lovely tint and a healthy glow without being overly glassy or sticky. The biggest win for me is the SPF; it’s so rare to find a comfortable lip product that actually protects from the sun. The tube is super practical for tossing in a bag, and the formula keeps my lips feeling soft and hydrated throughout the day. It could be at par with other lip products in the market with the same market price as well. I would highly recommend for anyone to try it. You can nail the low maintenance look with it.

Great shine, perfect for the everyday look!

The Revlon Illuminance Gloss Balm ✨ I immediately recognised how thick the liquid was while squeezing the tube, it’s the perfect consistency. It doesn’t spill out or apply too much onto your lips. The packaging is cute and chic, perfect to store in your handbag and use on a night out. It delivers a gorgeous shine and gloss, highlighting your natural lip colour. It didn’t irritate my sensitive lips and it lasted for awhile after applying, there is no scent or flavouring. Great product for that “ no make-up make-up look “ or just your everyday lippy!

LOVE THIS LIP BALM

I was sent the Revlon Illuminance™ Gloss Balm SPF50+ in shade 001 cloud kiss to trial. I have really enjoyed using this product. I have always found it hard to find a lip balm that doesn’t dry out my lips or make them super sticky. This product is so nice and leaves my lips glossy but not sticky. Also leaves my lips super soft, moisturised while be lightweight which is a huge plus. I have also used this on top of lip liner and lip stains and it hasn’t smudged the product underneath. Shade 001 cloud kiss is a clear shade so I will definitely be purchasing more from this line in the different shades. I have really loved this product and I will be continuing to use it as well as purchasing more. I highly recommend to everyone

Great lippy

I recently tried the Revlon gloss balm and I LOVE that this product has SPF in it. It’s a lovely colour and feels nice on the lips. However I would prefer a colour that is a little more sheer on the lips. It gave like lipstick colour payoff in a gloss format. It didn’t feel sticky on the lips which is great. I would like to try the formula in a clear or light pink to see but that’s just my personal preference. I love the applicator as well, glides on so smoothly. Would definitely recommend to friends, and it’s great in this Aussie heat to protect your lips. It also gives your lips a nice shine which is exactly what you want from a gloss. I used mine with a nude lip liner and was great night and day

SPF dream

The Revlon Illuminance™ Gloss Balm with SPF 50 is one of those products that immediately catches your attention because it promises something we don’t often see in lip formulas: high sun protection combined with a glossy, hydrating finish. From a concept standpoint alone, this feels modern and genuinely useful. Lip care has evolved beyond simple shine or colour, and incorporating SPF 50 into an everyday gloss balm feels like a smart step forward. Let’s start with the formula. What stood out to me right away was how hydrating it felt on the lips. Some gloss-balm hybrids can lean too sticky or sit on top of the lips without truly nourishing them, but this one felt genuinely conditioning. My lips stayed comfortable for hours, and I didn’t feel the need to constantly reapply for moisture alone. It has that cushiony, smooth texture that makes your lips look fuller and healthier without feeling heavy. For anyone who struggles with dry lips, this is a strong point in its favour. The real game changer here, though, is the SPF 50. Lip protection is so often overlooked, yet the lips are incredibly vulnerable to sun damage. Having such high SPF built into a product that you actually want to wear daily makes sun protection effortless. Instead of layering a separate lip sunscreen under a gloss or lipstick, this combines both steps into one. For holidays, summer days, or even everyday commuting, that level of protection is impressive and genuinely practical. It’s the kind of feature that makes you wonder why more lip products don’t offer the same. In terms of finish, it delivers a beautiful glossy sheen that looks fresh and healthy rather than overly wet or artificial. It enhances the lips nicely and gives that “your lips but better” effect—at least in theory. Where this product fell slightly short for me personally was the shade I chose. The colour leaned quite cool-toned, and on my skin tone it didn’t feel as flattering as I had hoped. While the formula itself is lovely, the undertone made the overall look less harmonious. That’s not necessarily a flaw in the product, but it’s something to keep in mind if you have warmer or more neutral undertones. Shade selection will really matter here. Now, let’s talk price. While I appreciate the innovation and the quality of the formula, I wouldn’t personally pay the asking price again. It sits at a price point where you can find more upmarket lip products with luxe packaging and more universally flattering shade ranges for the same cost. When a drugstore brand starts approaching prestige pricing, expectations naturally rise. Although the hydration and SPF are excellent, I’m not fully convinced it offers enough beyond that to justify the spend. Overall, the Revlon Illuminance™ Gloss Balm with SPF 50 is a thoughtfully formulated, hydrating lip product that truly shines in its sun protection factor. I loved how comfortable and nourishing it felt, and the inclusion of SPF 50 really is a standout feature. However, the cool-toned shade didn’t suit me as well as I’d hoped, and the price makes it harder to fully recommend without hesitation. It’s a strong concept with great benefits—just one that may depend heavily on finding your perfect shade and deciding whether the cost aligns with your expectations.

SPF 50 protection

I have been using the revlon gloss balm for a couple of weeks now. It has been a handy addition to my beach bag throughout summer to protect my lips when out in the sun and the consistency is light and smooth, not too sticky which I was a little afraid of. Whilst I love the SPF 50 factor for sun protection I unfortunately can’t get past the smell and taste of sunscreen on my lips. I wish it was scented or at least didn’t taste like sunscreen. I will continue to use this tube but I wouldn’t re purchase this product unless it had a different formula.

Would repurchase, nice shine !

Protects my lips from sun while being lightweight and not having that sunscreen taste I hate. My lips normally get quite chapped but I found this lipgloss kept them moist throughout the day which I was surprised about though I did have to reapply quite frequently. I also like putting it over my lip combo for a shiny finish (on top of lip liner and lipstick) and I found it worked really well and not too sticky. Would repurchase for myself and others! My auntie tried this product and liked it as well, she is 53 years old for reference. Her lips are quite a bit dryer than mine and she doesn't like colour so the clear one I got was really good for her.

Nice colour but drying

Revlon has been a trusted name in cosmetics for decades, and their Illuminance™ Gloss Balm SPF50+ is a product that aims to combine both color and sun protection. Marketed as a moisturizing balm with a glossy finish, it promises to provide a luminous look while shielding the lips from harmful UV rays. However, after testing this product extensively, I found that it falls short in a couple of significant areas, particularly in hydration. The Gloss Balm comes in a sleek, twist-up tube that is easy to carry in a purse or pocket. Its design is user-friendly, allowing for precise application on the go. The product glides on smoothly, delivering an initial burst of color that is vibrant and eye-catching. With a range of shades, there’s something for everyone, whether you prefer subtle nudes. Upon first application, the Gloss Balm provides a delightful sheen that enhances the natural color of the lips. The SPF50+ is a commendable feature, especially for those who spend time outdoors. It’s reassuring to have a lip product that offers sun protection, and this aspect is what initially caught my attention. However, as the day progresses, the initial gloss quickly fades, revealing a concerning drawback: the balm tends to be quite drying. Despite its claims of hydration, I found that after a few hours of wear, my lips felt parched and in need of moisture. This is particularly disappointing for a product that markets itself as a balm, which traditionally implies a nourishing and softening effect. Instead of feeling pampered, my lips experienced a noticeable lack of comfort, leading me to frequently reapply just to regain some semblance of hydration. Another significant issue with the Revlon Illuminance™ Gloss Balm is its lack of staying power. The vibrant color begins to fade within an hour or two, often requiring multiple touch-ups throughout the day. This is frustrating, especially considering the product’s price point, which positions it above some other lip balms on the market. For those who lead busy lives or prefer low-maintenance makeup, the need for constant reapplication can be a major drawback. In comparison to other lip products that offer both colour and lasting hydration, the Gloss Balm falls short. Overall, while the Revlon Illuminance™ Gloss Balm SPF50+ has some appealing qualities—such as its sun protection and initial glossiness—it ultimately fails to deliver on its promise of hydration and longevity. The drying effect on the lips and the need for frequent reapplication are significant downsides that overshadow its benefits. If you’re in the market for a tinted lip product, there are more effective options out there that provide better hydration and longer wear. While Revlon has made an admirable attempt to blend beauty and protection, this particular balm does not meet the expectations one might have for a product in its category. If you value lasting moisture and color that stays put, consider exploring other alternatives rather than relying on this Gloss Balm.

Glossy in the Sun

The colour is really nice and I love a glass the fact this is an SPF is a win for me. Love the packaging and applicator. Some people who use lip oils might find it too sticky feel, but I prefer it. I love the sheen it gives me very Y2K, especially in photos and makes my lips feel softer. I ended up having to apply it fairly regularly being just a gloss, it’s easy to reapply. I’d bring it to a sunset nighttime event but not to the beach. I wouldn’t say this is a balm though, maybe just spf gloss. I love their old style glosses so this feels like a full circle moment.

great SPF lipbalm option

I really enjoyed using this product, typically I tend to avoid lip products with SPF in them as they tend to leave a nasty white cast, this product however did not do that, and for that reason I would continue to use it. My only fault with this product is that it is not super long lasting and I found myself often having to reapply more often throughout the day than other lip balm products. This product also adds a really nice glossy shine to the lips. the product did not have a super strong scent however it tasted slightly odd. I found this product to sit really well on the lips and in terms of SPF lip balms that Ive tried this one is definitely a winner!

Perfection in a tube!

absolutely love this product! the colour is super pigmented, and suits my very fair skin, but also looks stunning on the skin tones of my friends who also tried it! the formula is super nice, i’ve found that most spf lip glosses and balms are super grainy, but this only applies and looks super smooth. the packaging is also very high quality, and reminds me a bit of the summer fridays applicator. once applied, the lip glosses stays on the lips for a few hours without cracking or drying, which is super hard to find! as a very pale girl ( we are talking shade 1 of foundation) who is extremely prone to sunburn, i wore this lip gloss in UV10 for about two hours at the park and my lips had not burnt at all, which is basically a miracle. i definetly recommend giving this product a try!

Good SPF

I tried the Dusty Rose shade of the Revlon Illiminance Gloss Balm. I like how it has a high sun protection which isn't common for tinted lip glosses. I have to say honestly this was not the best gloss or balm I've tried. I appreciate trying to be both a balm and gloss but I think the texture just wasn't right for me. The texture was slightly oily and sat on top of my lips rather than sinking in. This meant it wasn't very long lasting. It also wasn't hydrating like a lip balm. The colour dusty rose turned out to be a cooler toned shade. Because it was oily it didn't sit welk on top of other lip products anf by itself the colour payoff or tone didn't quite suit me.

Not too bad

As someone who is sun conscious I was really excited to try out the new Revlon Illuminance Gloss Balm with SPF50+. I was lucky enough to be gifted this gloss balm to review. As stated, it is definitely a lightweight and non-sticky gloss. It has a lovely sheen and great pigment. However, it did leave my lips feeling dry and I had to reapply more often than not. Unfortunately the colour that I chose (004 Dusty Rose) was a bit too cool compared to what I normally reach for so I had to pair it with a warmer lip pencil when I used it. Given it is a lip product, it’s inevitable that you will at some point taste the product, definitely tastes like SPF, haha. Overall I had a positive experience but wouldn’t repurchase this product.

Good but nothing incredible

I genuinely really enjoy this product and was actually pleasantly surprised by it. I picked up the clear shade because I wanted something easy I could throw on with any look, and it delivered. There was no strange or chemical aftertaste, which I always half expect with SPF lip products, so that was a big win for me. It gives a really pretty gloss and healthy shine without feeling sticky or tacky at all. It honestly applies more like a thicker lip oil than a traditional gloss, which I love because it feels nourishing and comfortable on the lips. My only downside is that it doesn’t last very long. I found myself needing to reapply quite often throughout the day, and since it’s an SPF product, that does make me question how consistent the protection is if you’re not constantly topping it up. Overall though, it’s a lovely formula and feels great to wear — just keep it in your bag for regular reapplication.
