Rimmel London Glam’Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara

I received this product as a part of a pack and was curious to see how well it would work considering it was a pretty cool concept. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown. The layers worked well by themselves, but when used together it often turned out clumpy. Especially if used at the end of the day to transform from 'day to night' once the day section was dry, the night section was hard to apply. Even if used together, the formula just wasn't very clean.

I love the concept of this, but it just doesn't work for me. It's great how dynamic this is. I mean, it's two in one- it has you covered whether you want a subtle or dramatic look. Unfortunately, I just don't like the formula they have used. It's just a bit gluggy and doesn't go on very nicely. It's very wet as well, so it smudges easily. I love how much the night look adds definition to my lashes, and I can appreciate the increase in length (lashes that try to kiss your eyebrows), but it does the clumpy, spider leggy, let's-all-stick-together thing that a good mascara shouldn't do. I also liked how different the effects of one layer of the day mascara were to two layers or three layers, or so forth. You could build the drama up gradually, allowing you to best reflect the day ahead of you and the amount of make up most desired. In saying that, it was also quite smudgy. I will use the remaining product over time, but I probably won't buy it again, unfortunately.
