I found this liner very intense - good for going out at night but not great for everyday wear. The formula is smooth and easy to apply, and is very bendable - making a smoky eye very achievable (even with little time). It has a great staying power and the waterproof formula means that you don't need to worry about getting 'panda eyes' while you are on the dance floor!
I have had these in my stash for years and during my everyday-black-eyeliner phase in my teens, the black was my favourite. Why? It does not budge. In fact, that is the main reason I haven't given it 5 stars! I don't use it anymore if I can avoid it because I actually find it really stressful to remove! However, I know staying power of black pencil liners can be an absolute mission for some and this is why I still rate it so highly.  The formula is not at all dry and rather creamy for a drugstore pencil - I tend to find more affordable or traditional kohl pencils to be quite dry and drag on the eyelid - not this. This is both a positive and a negative depending on how you are using it. Upon first applying to the upper or lower lash line, you can easily smudge it out for a smokier look (my personal preference). Once set, it will absolutely not move for the rest of the day. As for water lining? This can be a bit tricky as it is a product made to be able to smudge when applying - something you may not want when lining the upper/lower water line. Having said that, it is still doable. For a tight line that will last the whole night/day, apply this and then press a black eyeshadow into the upper (or lower) waterline. This helps set the product and I find it LASTS.  Again, I find this lasts like nothing else to the point I personally find it stressful to remove. I also don't tend to wear black liner much anymore. However, if you are a black liner lover and need a product that stays? Give this a try.  Oh, special mention the the bronze shade. I do still use this one as it is more subtle for the day time and I love to smudge it out for a bronze smokey eye!
+ Doesn't irritate my eyes when I wear contacts + Affordable, especially when on sale + Very pigmented and smooth - Smudges throughout the day, and does give me panda eyes in really hot and humid weather - Have to sharpen it I used this throughout high school because I wasn't too experienced with makeup and thought it was pretty decent. Over the years of trying new eyeliners, I can conclude that it is a very average liner. You do end up with a messy smokey eye at the end of the day, as my friends would kindly point out to me, which made me stop repurchasing it. Now I use the Marc Jacobs Highliner in Blacquer for the waterline. That stuff stays!
I have been using this eyeliner on and off over the years. The soft pencil feels smooth on my skin, does not drag, glides very easily. I practically can line my eyes with one stroke on each side. Very quick! Easy to smudge using fingers to give a smokey look. My favourite is the black one.
Before I purchase a new product I scour reviews to decide whether to spend my hard cold cash on it.  The Rimmel London Scandaleyes waterproof kajal eyeliners have received numerous positive reviews from well respected beauty vloggers through to many of my friends, so it was with little hesitation that I decided to add the black, nude and blue to my collection. I think I may be the only person who is not a huge fan of them.  I wish I had only purchased one and tried it first as I definitely wouldn't have bought any more. I was particularly sold on the idea that they were waterproof and I would finally be able to tightline successfully, however these do not work well on my inner lash line as they smudge almost immediately and I then spend the rest of the day with a film on my eyes which makes it difficult for me to see clearly. Thinking that the problem may be due to the colour of the kajal (black) I opened the nude one and used this on my inner bottom lash line as a means to brighten up my eyes.  Whilst I like the colour and can see the benefit in using a product like this to make you look more awake, my eyes immediately started to water and I had to delicately remove it to stop the irritation. I rarely have issues with any other eye products so I feel that the Rimmel Scandaleye waterproof kohl kajal is just not for me.
I love how easy to use and non smudging this eyeliner is. It glides on smoothly and stays in place without fading or irritating my eyes. I cannot believe that this liner is so inexpensive, maybe I shouldn't be saying that! I usually buy the black and application and removal is easy, I just use an eye makeup remover soaked in a cotton pad and it comes off easily without pulling or stretching my skin. I recommend this eyeliner for anyone who wants a dependable non smudging waterproof liner that is well priced and glides on easily.
Packaging: The packaging of the Rimmel Scandaleyes kohl pencil is simple and sophisticated. They are easy to identify the colour of the pencil as the entire packaging match the colour of the liner. The pencil is make out of a thicker, black material rather than the usual wooden pencil. This makes it much easier to sharpen and to get a finer point out of the liner.  Application: this beautiful kohl glides on so easily onto the waterline and also the upper lash line. It's smooth and the colour is very pigmented. I generally apply liner to the waterline and the tight line (upper water line) and this liner makes that so easy. I simply blink into the liner and it glides on so easily.  Longevity: the Scandaleyes kohl liner is one of the only kohl liners I have to remove at the end of the day. Even in both the water line and tight line, it stays on all day and the pigment is still true.  Over all this liner is absolutely fantastic and really worth the easy $9.95 (or less if you find it on sale). The pigment is strong, the application is a breeze and the waterproof, long wear is 100% amazing. I have 3 colours in this liner (black, nude and black shimmer) and I love all three and use them on an every day basis.
These liners are amazing! I have every single shade, and love them all. The formula is fantastic, every bit as good as much more expensive brands. Waterproof and smudge-proof, but still creamy and blendable. They last all day, even when used to tightline. My only complaint is that I wish there were even more shades!
