This is the cream of the crop when it comes to eyebrow pencils. You can achieve a slightly defined, or a fully filled in brow with this product. I have the shade called "Hard 9" and have used it on many of my friends with a variety of skin tones and hair colours, ranging from pale to olive, it suits them all. The pencil comes in an above average size and mine has lasted me for years, even when using it most days. I love that the pencil is quite hard so if its just a few stray hairs that you want to feather in, you can do this with the definition of this pencil. The pros: Length of this above average pencil makes it last years and gives you bang for your buck.                   Flattering and believable colour, suits a variety of skin tones.                   The hardness of the pencil allows for precisely drawing in brow hairs.                   Stays put through the day without smudging off. There are no cons as far as I am concerned, as this is the perfect eyebrow pencil!  I would recommend this eyebrow pencil to everyone that wants to subtlety define or fully fill in their brows.

This is the rolls Royce of eyebrow pencils, this was actually given to me and it is absolutely divine and so easy to use for a really professional looking brow. This is beautifully pigmented and the pencil is soft and creamy and fills brows with a gorgeous natural look. A huge bonus is you can take this to a shu uemura counter for sharpening to keep the pencil precise and easy to use. This gives a smudge proof result that allows the brows to frame my face perfectly and it lasts all day without budging. With six shades to choose from you can find your perfect shade easily. The only downside is that it is pricey but that goes for any high quality product, you get what you pay for. I love this pencil so much and highly recommend it.

It is difficult for any eyebrow pencil to get more sophisticated than the Shu Uemura Hard Formula Eyebrow Pencil. As a professional makeup artist, I need to cater for my clients’different needs. Some clients like their brows strong whereas a lot of my clients prefer to have their brows naturally filled.  With a lot of the eyebrow pencils on the market, I found, are too intense because they are too soft. While I can use them, they require a lot of blending to achieve a natural look. I am very glad to have come across this Shu Uemura Hard Formula Eyebrow Pencil. I was first attracted to it by its unique sword-like shape. When I thought about it, the shape makes perfect sense for the contoured brow bone structure. The flat surface of the pencil means that the pigment can be distributed across the brows evenly. The hard formula also makes sure that only a small amount of pigment is deposited on the skin upon each stroke.  For a more intense look, simply repeatedly apply the eyebrow pencil to the brow. The sword-like shape also means that it can be used to create a feathered look using the sharp edge only, as opposed to using the entire flat surface. I haven’t used any eyebrow pencil that gives me a more natural look than this.  The design is so clever and so sophisticated. An added bonus is that any Shu Uemura counter would gladly sharpen the pencil back to its perfect sword-shape once it becomes blunt. I have already had my pencils sharpened at least five times and each time I have received prompt and friendly service – now that’s an excellent customer post-purchase experience!

The hard formula eyebrow pencil is the best I have ever used and also    works extremely well on my bottom eyelids.
