This has to be as cute as a lipstick gets - expensive, yes, very because it is tiny but it's also a perfect size for handbag or travel. With lots of soft, very wearable colours available, a really attractive looking case and a lipstick that doesn't dry sensitive lips, it's a winner.
Makeup, makeup, oh makeup, how do I love thee, let me count the ways... There is no makeup product that I don't immediately love from the word go, but until recently, I was more of a lipgloss, balm or stain girl, well that's all changed recently, maybe I'm growing up, whatever the reason, I am a lipstick loving girl through and through. It started with a Loreal matte addiction in the most heavenly dark plum colour, just one slick and I was hooked. I then tried an Avon lipstick I got on a Cosmopolitan magazine, in the most flattering pinky nude shade, great for everyday, and now I've branched out and bought a more expensive and luxurious lipstick, this one from the Tom Ford boys and girls range in the nude shade pictured above and my love for lipstick continues to grow. It has the most divine packaging, which is guaranteed to draw my eye and interest, and the name of the range, boys and girls, is very quirky, something else that always gets my attention. So in a very quick decision, I paid the $50 quite happily and I had a new lipstick to add to my already growing collection. I used it the next day at a job interview I had, very good timing I must say. I applied a small amount of paw paw ointment, and blotted it off, to give a smooth and flake free surface. Using my real techniques lip brush, I painted on a thin, even layer, blotted, painted on another layer, blotted and brushed on a small amount of face powder, a little trick guaranteed to ensure all day staying power. Last it did, all that morning and through my interview and lunch, when I then applied another layer and didn't need to again for the rest of the day, and it came off beautifully with a swipe of a micellar water soaked cotton pad. For the third lipstick I've bought in my life, I was really pleased, even at the price of $50, which was worth every penny. It had gorgeous packaging and name, the formula was brilliant, so creamy and moisturising and didn't make my lips dry or flaky, it lasted all day with only one re-application needed and the colour is so good, what you see in the tube is what you get on your lips, so bright and true and matches skin tone beautifully. Makeup is amazing in the products it has, the way it brings out your inner creative artist and the way it makes you feel depending on your mood or the look you want to experiment with. It can make you feel good and powerful and ready to face the day and world ahead of you. This little tube of lipstick, as well as all my other makeup products, delivers that good feeling for me in one or two swipes, I will buy more from this and other ranges, and I will continue to put on my mask and armour of makeup and feel bright and brave and feminine every single day of my makeup loving life.
Like most other Tom Ford products, these lipsticks are luxe and heavenly. However, the Lips and Boys lipsticks retail for a little less than other Tom Ford lipsticks, making it easier to try something from one of the most renowned and hyped beauty brands. Ashton is my favourite colour, and is a beautiful plum colour on me. They have a heap of shades and Tom Ford does the best neutrals, in my opinion. As you would expect, the colour is rich, the lipstick is creamy and non-drying and the packaging is incredible. I've docked a star, because I think they could last a little longer.
I have never been a lipstick person until i tried Tom Ford. I am now converted and can't go out without lipstick. Tom Ford lipsticks are expensive but they are also top of the range. They are highly pigmented, so all the colours you see on the lipstick is the end result you get on your lips. I find all their colours flattering for my skin tone.  The lipstick is moisturising, non-waxy, with a stay-power of about 3 hours. I tend to reapply after eating. If you have been disappointed with other brands of lipstick before, please try Tom Ford lipsticks before giving up!
If you want an easy to wear, swipe and go lip colour this is it. I think this would be universally flattering, as it's a your lips but better type of tone, with enough colour to really pay off. Keeps lips smooth and hydrated and looks very polished.
