Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme EDP

Love. Had it for 2 years now. Best used in cool months of the year. So cosy! I wore it inside the house too and in the intimate evenings, cosy in bed situations. It is rich, thick, balsamic, gourmand in my olfactory experience. Vanilla sandalwood base makes it creamy, the rest of the notes just play around, bit of everything. Yes, you can smell kulfi and some sweet candied citruses I would say it is more mature perfume. For a serious and fun woman. She is in charge (and will eat you up if occasion arises).

The ginger aspect of this perfume concerned me, but I am so pleasantly surprised by how mellow it is.  This perfume is beautiful!  It reminds me of spiced Christmas candies from my childhood in North America,  It's quite a warm, spicy, comforting concoction.  I find it very well balanced - sweet but not too sweet, spicy but not overly so...it's just beautiful.  The floral notes aren't very dominant on this one, it's mostly about the spice, which is something a lot of people might struggle with, but if you love spicy scents (like I do), this is one to look for as it is sure to be satisfying.

This is a beautiful fragrance. Noir is definitely dark, upon first encounter I smell good quality dark bitter chocolate although chocolate is not on the list of notes, it just might be bitter orange mixed with vanilla and kulfi notes, it is so addictive. You want to smell it over and over again. Noir is sweet but in a sophisticated way, without being sickly sweet. There is also some bitterness to that sweetness so all is well balanced. The fragrance is elegant, but also sensual and sexy, I think a strong woman will feel great wearing Noir. Can be worn throughout the day in colder months and at night all year long. In my opinion it is more oriental than floral. I also love the black sleek bottle and the gold lid, it all screams luxury and Tom Ford. I find his mainstream line very ambitious and well-thought. The fragrance is of amazing quality, long lasting. I recommend trials in the department stores.
