Vichy Liftactiv Collagen Specialist 16 Bonding Serum

This liquidy serum comes in a dropper bottle. I find half a full dropper enough for face, but I’d recommend using one full dropper, if using down to full décolletage. It has a lightweight feel, but is fairly hydrating on my dehydrated skin. I wasn’t sure what ingredients were causing it, but I noticed on initial use, some slight irritation until my skin got used to it. I haven’t really noticed anti-ageing affects after 4 weeks use and unfortunately I’ve experienced a lot more breakouts. I haven’t figured out what’s causing these - whether it’s the serum or the creams, or all. However, some of the breakout marks have faded quicker than usual, probably due to key actives like the niacinamide and the peptides. It has a light floral scent which is not generally noticeable after application. It has caused some pilling with some of my makeup, but not as much as the creams from the same range. For a premium priced product, I do have to say I expected more.

I’m a fan of serums, and the Vichy Liftactiv Collagen Specialist 16 doesn’t disappoint, in fact it’s a lovely serum with a mild scent that is a pleasure to use. It’s a light weight serum, that spreads evenly and is absorbed quickly, making skin feel hydrated and healthy. I apply the serum in the morning after my shower and sometimes at night when my skin is clean, followed by my moisturiser. It’s suitable for all skin types and especially too for sensitive skin. It’s an anti ageing serum to help prevent wrinkles, fine lines, produce collagen, firmness, structure and give an over all healthy, hydrated and natural look. I’m impressed with the professional presentation of the 30ml red glossy bottle, two drops is all you need. Love the light texture of the serum, it’s non greasy or sticky, leaves the skin feeling hydrated and looking and feeling natural, it’s a pleasure to use on my seventy year old skin and I definitely recommend it.

This Vichy serum is light weight and non tacky. I would not say it is my favourite serum but it is good. There is something about the smell that I do not like, a chemical or fishy type smell that does not have me reaching for this serum night and days use it day and night. The serum does absorb well into my skin and I do not have to rub it in. I like the dropper bottle, it makes application and use much easier that a squirt bottle. No amount of serum goes to waste. I can use two to three drops of serum into my clean hands then pat onto my face.
