Very rich barrier cream, great for super dry and cracked skin.  3 stars from me only because I have opposite skin: oily to normal, huge pores and plenty of hydration. Do love using this cream on my lips overnight and under eye area as mask. For this is great when I need some boost after overdoing with actives (acids, retinol  and B3). It is great in protecting skin while it heals back to normal self again. But would never use it all over my face and on a regular basis.ore like a "healing" balm.
Been using this for years. This is hands down one of the best mosturisers for dry skin. The consistency is really thick, it absorbs easily and glides over the skin nicely despite being so thick. I use this on my hands and it really saves them during winter. In summer this is great for cracked feet. I also use this on my face when I have dry patches and also if I'm cycling or exposed to wind.  The scent is really pleasant and subtle. The tube is sturdy and practical. I buy a couple at a time so I always have one at work and one at home.
I really enjoy using this thick cream. It is more like an ointment. It comes in a tube. The cream is a multi tasker. can be used for so many things. Recently my face was really dry and my skin was flaking. At night I took some of the cream on my hands and rubbed it together to warm it. It is very thick and needs some warming up to help spread it on your face (otherwise it can be sticky). I applied it overnight and the next morning the ski on my face looked so much better. It was soft and the dry parched skin was healed. I love the herbal scent of this cream. the scent can be strong for some. I also apply it on my cuticles to keep them moisturised especially in winter. Really hydrating cream. I am a great fan of it. Use it all over my body.
Just started using this all famous skinfood and now I can see what's all the hype about. Packed in beautiful green tube, this cream is thick and super rich. Melts and moisturizes like a dream - so suitable for dry skin and winter weather. The ultra rich creaminess also makes it such a perfect product to keep in bag for so many reasons - hand cream, lip balm, elbow grease, foot cream - whatever you'd like to use it as and can put it even on face if your skin type is dry (mine is oily but love putting it on bub's cheeks). In a emergency, you can even dab a little bit as natural glowy highlighter ;)  While being all natural, gentle and suitable for all skin types - this also isn't a very pricey product. It's bit too rich for me to use during summer time but the way I am just slathering it everywhere don't think it will last that long.
I recently decided to purchase a tube of Weleda Skin Food as I have heard so many amazing, wonderful things about it. I have the 30ml tube and this cream is seriously concentrated, so you really only need a small amount each time. The texture is in-between a balm and a cream, and is quite thick and comes out of the tube with a bit of effort. The winter weather has really made my hands rough, dry, itchy and flaky. I have tried quite a few creams but haven't found anything quite as rich and nourishing as this one. The texture of this cream does mean it can take a while for it to fully get absorbed. It can also leave a greasy, slightly sticky feeling on your skin at first, but it's also very nourishing and moisturising. I have found that this product works to soften and smooth skin immediately. I do like that it contains mainly natural ingredients and although I wouldn't use many lanolin based creams, this one has helped repair my skin, so I can see why it's a best seller! My favourite thing about Skin Food is the amazing citrus, herbal scent which helps me sleep at night too. I will definitely be purchasing a larger sized tube next time so I can use this cream all over to treat my dry, irritated skin.  I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a multi-purpose product to treat and repair their dry/very dry skin.
Ever since I switched to natural/organic beauty, I've tried out a bunch of products. This is one of my favourite moisturisers! It is ultra moisturising, perfect for dry skin. It is also ultra thick- the consistency is like a lanolin cream I used to use. It doesn't spread easily, so I like to warm it up in my hands before pressing into my skin. It's a little sticky at first, but it's not a big deal. It leaves my skin looking really glowy after I use it too! The packaging is handy- a squeeze tube and you can take it on the go. I love the scent- it's not too heavy and is a beautiful blend of essential oils. If you have dry skin and want a pretty potent moisturiser, I highly recommend this!
Face Skin Type: Oily, Sensitive, Redness Body Skin Type: Dry, Keratosis Pilaris   I first used Weleda products when I was living in Germany in 2008 and then returned home and promptly forgot about them. Skip forward to 2014 when I was suffering from severe winter dryness all over my body and needed HELP. I picked this up in a health food store, remembering how much I loved the Weleda range and started slathering it everywhere with exactly the results you would hope for. Soothed, plumped and hydrated skin.  At the time I had serious breakouts (ACNE!) all over my face and had started using La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo, which for me is the only acne product you ever need, but it dried my skin out after a couple of months of consistent use. I started using skin food over the top of the Effaclar and holy moly, that duo took my skin from sore, irritated, inflamed to clear, hydrated and toned in about a month. I had so many compliments on the results and have recommended the pair of products to a number of people who have all had the same results. I LOVE this product. It has an eternal place in my skincare collection. Things I love: - Scent - Rich texture - Natural - Soothing - Price BUT I miss the old metal tubes and the almost unspreadable texture of the old formula. It was so satisfying!
This product is a best-seller for good reason. Skin Food is an intensely rich and thick balm that obliterates dry skin. It needs a bit of effort to work in but the results are worth it. I have used Skin Food on cracked heels, ashy legs, dry elbows and papery hands and it works wonders to soothe and protect, especially in the colder weather. It's lightly fragranced and all natural which is good to know.  Interestingly, as I found out during a blogger event, the founder of Weleda is Rudolf Steiner who not only was a leader in biodynamic farming but also developed his own education philosophy (Steiner schools).
Weleda Skin Food is an oldie but a goodie, and it's one of my skin care must-haves, especially leading up to the Winter months where my skin gets intensely dry and flaky. I have purchased countless tubes of this amazing cream, simply because I use it on my face, body, hands and feet, and the soft, buttery texture always leaves my dry skin soft and smooth. The cream comes in 2 sizes (75ml, 30ml) and I usually buy the large size to use all over during Winter as I find most other creams just don't fix my severely dry skin. This product has a rich, thick texture which is quite concentrated so a little goes a long way and it can feel heavy or greasy if you use too much. I do find it absorbs well into my skin, although I'm careful not to slather it on as it does contain lanolin which I find can leave a heavy feel on my skin. I really like the herbal fragrance which is calming at night and the fact that this cream comes in a tube makes it great for travelling. I recommend this product to anyone who wants a rich, nourishing multi-purpose cream and it's great for dry to very dry skin types. This is one of my all time favourite skincare products, and seeing as it's relatively inexpensive I always purchase more than one tube. I will most definitely continue using Skin Food for years to come, and am pleased that there are new products in the range to try too.
Absolutely in love with the Weleda skin food and I use it on my hands, elbow and feet because they are the driest part of my body. This cream is rich and thick that truly protect my body from extreme dryness and I must say this product TRULY WORKS. The cream does feel a bit greasy on skin as expected due to its richness so I only use it overnight during winter months. The Weleda skin food is super affordable and a little goes a long way. Love it.
I purchased weleda skin food after hearing some great things. I have normal to oily skin (oily through the t zone). I tend to get some hormonal acne around my chin at that time of the month but also get a little dry was on my forehead. I have a fairly basic routine which also includes about twice a week. It usually means applying a sheet mask/serum/luxe oil and I like to use the weleda skin food as my barrier night cream to lock all the goodness in and I wake up I swear looking like I’ve reversed time with a plump delicious glow that lasts for a few days. I also love using it as my night cream on top of an oil after I’ve had any lip/eyebrow wax as I find it soothes my skin and you’d never know I messed about with my face.
I am on my third tube of this lovely cream which is quite amazing as I very rarely repurchase and love trying new things. This cream however I have been slathering on my lips and hands at night before I go to sleep and I keep a tube of this on my bed stand. At present my lips are constantly dry due to the need for constant air-conditioning. A swipe of this across my lips and voila no more chapped lips. Amazingly my lips are still moist in the morning.  I also love the smell of this cream, subtle and slightly citrusy. As I have very sensitive skin I have not tried it on my face as a moisturiser. However a slight dab of this on the high points of the face either over or without makeup gives a gorgeous natural glow to the skin!
I bought this product online and have been using it over the last few months. I just bought the same one as it was quite expensive for a larger tube and I was not sure if I would like it or not (would recommend if it's your first time buying!). I have since discovered that a little bit of this product goes a long way and that there are just so many ways to use it! It is a very thick balm that is very very hydrating! I love this product because I can feel comfortable using it all over my body knowing that it is made up of 100% natural ingredients! I personally love using it as a face mask because of how thick the product is and I find that when my skin gets so dry in winter, this product is a saviour! After applying it (either as a thick layer as a mask or super thin later as a moisturiser) I find my skin feels much smoother, softer and hydrated. It has a nice scent, nothing to overpowering, and smells quite herbally. It also works great on chapped lips (and it saved my lips when they got sunburnt in NZ). The balm does leave a residue on the skin and not sink right in (which if that bothers you, I would consider before purchasing this product) but I think that really makes it so hydrating!   I actually bought this product based on a recommendation from my fav glossy skin gal, Katie Jane Hughes. This product can be used underneath makeup to add a real glow from within, I would recommend just applying it to the high points and putting your base products on top for a real natural looking glow. This product also works such wonders because its nice and slippy and not too sticky, so the foundation just glides over your skin rather than clingy to it strangely. Also, if you have any dry patches but you want to wear foundation this works great to place over any blemishes/dry patches to help the foundation glide over it.
I love this cream. I’ve heard that it’s designed to be a hand cream but you can definitely use anywhere as it absorbs so well and feels really nice. More expensive than other creams but a little does go a long way. I also find that it has a nice scent without being overpowering.
Weleda skin food was recommended to me for rough cracked skin on feet and it effectively fixed the problem, it’s amazing. Such great value, great price, it’s awesome for any rough dry skin, it’s multipurpose and also great for elbows but I particularly use it on feet. This smoothes and hydrated dry ski and leaves my feet soft and nourished. It’s all natural and a really rich skin food which fixes cracked dry heels so my feet look gorgeous in summer sandals. The handy tube is easy to use, just squeeze out the thick white cream and apply, it smells pleasant and lasts for ages. The best part of this skin food is IT REALLY WORKS. Love it and highly recommend it.
I LOVE this product! I mainly use on my feet and everyday time I apply this balm, it leaves my feet feeling nourished. The balm is quite thick so I would recommend applying at night, putting some socks on and letting all the goodness soak in overnight! Perfect addition for an at-home pedicure or even manicure session.
This is a great product for my everyday kit.  The thick consistency makes a little go a long way. I love the scent that is a bit old school and natural. It feels so nourishing and rich. I use it on lips, elbows, dry feet, as an intensive hand cream overnight, on my kids itchy skin, on my split ends. I have medium dry sensitive skin and love this- especially when I’m traveling as it is a great, potent, multi purpose product.
Weleda Skin Food is formulated with 100% natural ingredients and contains only the purest of plant and flower extracts. It has lovely skin-loving ingredients like extracts of chamomile, calendula and viola tricolor which helps to soothe and calm rough dry skin, whilst lanolin, sunflower and sweet almond oil provide a natural barrier to protect the skin against environmental aggressors. This Weleda Skin Food is truly food for your skin and is the epitome of multi-purpose balms as it can be used in numerous ways. Some of the ways I like to use this product are: - In winters, for my dry dehydrated skin, I like to apply this as a sleeping mask and next morning I wake up to a healthy-looking nourished skin. - I like to slather this on as a lip mask when my lips feel dry & chapped. - It also works as a quick fix to manage dryness at the tips of my hair. - Works great as a hand cream, cuticle conditioner and perfect product for dry elbows, knees & heels. The texture of this balm is quite thick hence just a little goes a long way. Squeeze a little bit onto the tips of your fingers, warm it up gently and then apply directly where you need it. Honestly, it’s an all-purpose, completely natural moisturiser that works wonders on those rough, dry & dehydrated areas of the skin. I highly recommend this product for dry dehydrated skin for some immediate comfort and once you’ve discovered the power of this little green tube you’ll never want to be without it.
Wonderful multi use cream that is very soothing & moisturising. With many healing properties Skin Food is amazing for so many uses! I use this cream with great results on my hands, cuticles, nails, as a healing face cream, soothing my fragile neck skin (after stupidly applying retinol to my neck and burning it!) and as a body lotion.  It works great to soothe after shaving and also to heal cuts.  Love that it contains calendula and natural ingredients.  It makes my skin glow when used as a day and night cream!
Weleda is a European brand that is relatively new to Australians but has started to figure more on the radar. When I first noticed this cream, otherwise known as Skin Food, I loved its delicate orange scent. Weleda has a large array of products designed for the whole family, from ageing dry skin to baby care, but this one is an all-purpose balm, made with  natural essential oils – sunflower seed, sweet almond – and herbs such as rosemary, chamomile and calendula. It’s designed to target all your rough spots, and it certainly does that, smoothing out hands, elbows,  feet, cuticles – just about any body part you care to name. This  balm is very thick, so it’s quite hard to massage in. However once absorbed, my skin does feel very supple and  hydrated. The oiliness of the formula makes it unsuitable for a day hand-cream, but perfect for slathering on at night, to moisturise your hands while you sleep, or treating your cuticles before a manicure. And of course you have that lovely orangey scent as aromatherapy at the same time! I’ve also found that it works well on my dry heels. All Weleda products are made from natural ingredients and ethically sourced , most of their products are plant-based and cruelty-free, although Skin Food contains beeswax . This is a very well-priced product at $15 for 30 mls, and only $22.95 for 75 mls – considering that such a little amount goes a long way, this is a great value. In our dry country we can never have enough skin treatments so happy to have another entrant in the field. Pros. Very nourishing and simple product. Natural ingredients. Pleasant scent of orange and beeswax. Cons. Actually quite greasy and slow to absorb
