Weleda Skin Food Body Butter

I have used quite a few body creams, lotions, what have you, but this body butter stays in mind because of the insane whipped buttery texture. There is nothing like it. It is rich and buttery, and with a bit of light rubbing, it sinks right into the skin. Very nourishing formulation comprising a combination of shea butter and cocoa butter, with no synthetic ingredients in the mix. The size of the tub is also generously large so there is ample quantity that could last for a couple of months, even with a generous slathering.

My skin gets dry during the winter time, sometime I even get dry patches on the elbows , knees and the heels. This body butter us an absolute life saver for the those dry patches. I use it right after shower when the pores are open to help the absorption. The texture of this butter is super rich , it looks thick and bit like was. Only a small quantity is required , this jar will last forever. It literally melts into the skin, it makes it so soft and so hydrated. The smell is very pleased too, kind of herbal. Overall it is a great product, definitely recommend.

One thing I love about the Weleda Skin Food products is the lovely citrus fragrance which is so calming. My skin has emerged from winter a little dry so I’ve been using the Weleda Skin Food Body Butter to get some nourishment back into my dry skin. The body butter is thick and balm like and spreads easily over my skin. It absorbs really well and dries fairly quickly leaving my skin dry to the touch. I’ve applied the body butter to my arms, elbows and knees after my shower while my skin was still warm so the product was easily absorbed. After a few days my skin has improved and looks deeply nourished with a nice glow. I love that the body butter is non-greasy and non-irritating but very moisturising.

I adore this body butter. It has the perfect texture, not so thick and not thin. perfect to provide moisture to all over the body. This body butter has served me well in winter keeping my whole family's skin moisturized and supple. My husband suffers from dry itchy skin in winter and he has used all sort of creams. When he used this body butter his comment was "can you buy more of this , because I never want to run out of it". I am addicted to the scent, the lemony refreshing scent is a pick me up. I also love using this as a cuticle cream and it has improved the condition of my cuticles and nails so much. This creams absorbs easily without leaving any greasiness behind so perfect to use on the go . I keep this tub on my work desk , I apply it often and I find it does not make my keyboard greasy like other creams. My son came home with really sore hands recently because of hand washing often , I applied this cream heavily on his hands at night and when he woke up the next morning he said his hands did not sting anymore . So this creams works really fast in healing your skin.

Love this body butter! It's rich, nourishing and glides on the skin easily. It soaks in well and doesn't leave a heavy, greasy feeling immediately after application like some body butters do. It's full of natural and organic ingredients which I adore and comes in a sturdy and recyclable plastic tub with a twist top lid- easy to scoop the product up with your (clean) fingers! My skin felt hydrated and smooth even to the next day. A great addition to the Skin Food range!

I can't even begin to talk about how wonderful this cream is. I grew up with Weleda in the house so I really trust the brand - they were natural and ethical long before it became popular and lucrative. This is not a cheap cream but it's so thick and lush that a little goes a long way and it just totally melts into the skin. I use it on my face, my feet, my body - everywhere and you really only need a very small amount. It smells amazing - like oranges and gardenia, and leaves skin hydrated and soft without a hint of greasiness. This is really a perfect cream, and the fact that it has all natural, ethical ingredients is a big bonus. Worth every penny.

This is a luxurious, thick body butter which has a strong orange fragrance. It is perfect for dry areas such as your hands, feet and knees. For those with very dry skin, this would be ideal as an all over body moisturiser. For me, I have normal skin on my body so it was just a tad too thick, however it's so great as a night time hand cream, and I can feel it nourishing my skin. This product is part of the famous "Skin Food" range and is packed with lovely botanical ingredients. I recommend this!

I had heard great things about this body butter and it did not disappoint! The body butter has a thick consistency which was perfect for my dried out winter skin. I applied it straight after a shower before going to bed. It was thick to apply but spread smoothly onto the skin and soaked in well. I wouldn’t use it in the morning as it is thick but if you are going to bed it is perfect! There isn’t a strong smell which makes it even better. I woke up in the morning with hydrated skin (far more than previous mornings after using other moisturisers). It comes in a good sized tub and you don’t need much to achieve enough coverage, making it super affordable! I love it is all natural products (especially as it is going onto my whole body!) I will definitely repurchase and use throughout winter!

Love this body butter. It contains only natural ingredients so there’s no guilt feeling about what harmful chemicals could do to your body or the environment. It has a subtle, delicious and fresh scent. Most importantly, it works a treat. It leaves my skin hydrated and soft. There’s not more flaky, itchy skin and I’m so happy!

I am super impressed with this beautifully scented body butter. I love the tub which is plastic and I prefer this over glass. The cream is solid, but soft and a very pale yellow colour. The scent to me smells orangey and is in no way overpowering and doesn't linger. I can smell it though if I sniff my arms and it lasts well into the afternoon. The butter is not greasy at all and melts into the skin keeping it well hydrated all day, unlike a normal moisturiser. A little amount covers a large area making it great value. I have kept the foil seal on to help keep it fresher for longer.

Weleda Skin Food Body Butter smells delicious - fruity and natural. It has a very thick consistency and is quite solid in the tub. I have very sensitive skin which gets particularly irritated in the winter from the hot showers I insist on having. This product soothes my skin instantly and leaves it feeling moisturised and nourished. It completely changed my skin in just one application. Also great for very dry hands. It’s perfect for those with sensitive skin. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love this body butter! It is smooth and creamy and my it leaves my skin so smooth and soft. And best of all it relieves dry skin and itchiness. It has no strong smell there is only a subtle smell. And best of all it contains natural ingredients which is an added bonus. Would 1000000% recommend this for anyone with sensitive skin

This is one of the best body butter i used for my dry skin.I apply this body butter every night after the shower on my dry legs and elbows. I am very happy with the result. My dry skin areas immediately feel soft,smoother and hydrated. This body butter is very thick and light in color. It's actually look like butter and its consistency. It has a very light natural smell. This is not greasy. Absorb really fast and long-lasting. Definitely, recommend anyone who got very dry skin especially in winter times.

If you're a fan of the original skin food, then you will surely enjoy this one too. The skin food body butter has a beautiful lightweight texture but at the same time very nourishing for dry to very dry skin types. It has a scent of lavender and orange which is fresh and just smells so lovely on the skin. A little goes a long way as this jar can last a long time. I also think this is great for people who have eczema, because I suffer from this skin condition, it really helps to soothe redness and irritated skin.

This body butter is the best! I just love how nourishing and hydrating it is without leaving my skin feeling greasy. I love to use this on my hands which are incredibly dry and cracked due to the cold weather and this body butter does the trick. With ingredients like shea butter and cocoa seed butter, it keeps your skin hydrated throughout the day and works a treat for those with very dry skin. I like to use it on the driest parts of my body like my elbows, legs and feet. It has a nice, light scent and it comes in a 150 ml jar which will last awhile.

The texture of this is literally thick whipped butter like. It feels like you are buttering yourself up like a cake tin when you apply this. It's such a beautiful and rich body cream that works wonders in winter. I find it a little to rich to apply in summer as it's quite thick and takes a while to absorb into the skin. Great for dry to very dry winter skin and made with lovely natural ingredients. So far all the Weleda products I've tried have been very good.

The first thing I noticed about the appearance of this body butter is the incredible buttery texture. Even before I applied it to my body, it was something wondrous to behold: it really mimics the appearance of butter! Most of all I love that this body butter is not as thick or heavy as the original Skin Food formulation and the scent is also noticeably creamy in comparison. It sinks into skin seamlessly like a dream and moisturises well without leaving a feeling of greasiness. The tub the body butter is encased in is also quite large so it should last quite a while.

This skin good body butter was the perfect addition to the range.  Jam packed with all the organic ingredients that makes the ‘skin food’ range iconic.  The texture is as described, whipped and light. The large, screw top tub makes slathering your body in all that goodness handy, easy and addictive.  There is no faulting any of the skin food range. I own all  of them and they ensure that my skin, from head to toe is nourished and glowing all day long.  PRO’S: intensely nourishing, I would recommend using at night before bed.  CON’S: can be a bit labour intensive to work into the skin as it does leave a white cast if not properly applied. But well worth the effort. 

I love that this skinfood body butter is all natural and super hydrating. It’s packed full of goodies for intense moisturising, I love the whipped formula and it smells amazing. This is a great product for really dry skin, I particularly love it for legs, feet and elbows which get so dry. It’s awesome after the beach, so soothing and nourishing. You can really feel it doing skin good, it doesn’t go oily or greasy and sinks into skin immediately, so easy to use. It’s packaged nicely and is great value, it lasts for ages and the body butter makes my skin glow. I couldn’t find a negative. Love this and highly recommend it

Oh,Weleda.I found you in Europe a few years ago,and fell a little in love with your skin food and deodorants,and now this. If you have ever tried the Weleda Skinfood,you will know how amazing it is,and this addition to that range is no exception.This body butter has a beautifully rich whipped texture that glides on easily, and is quickly absorbed into the skin....leaving you feeling soft,sexy and truly pampered.It is formulated to provide instant relief to dry,sunburned or windchapped skin,leaving a long-lasting hydrated and nourished feel to dry skin without leaving behind any greasy or oily residue (perfect in our hot / humid climate),so you can dress quickly after use.The ingredients list reads like a moisture cocktail...shea and cocoa butters, sunflower seed oil etc,so feeling touchable is going to be something you will have to get used to (especially if a perfumed lotion is your usual "go to".....it just doesn't cut it).But what of the feel of it ? This is pure whipped bliss,not heavy (the skin food is a bit much for some people,a bit "rich") and it has a delicate,natural herb like scent that is beautiful to experience.This butter literally melts into the skin, feels so good and the moisturisation lasts a good 24 hours (even after showering,a softness seems to linger). I use it after my shower and my otherwise very dry skin feels so soft and really cared for afterwards.Before bed,it is a lovely ritual to apply,mixed with a little lavender oil to produce a sleep inducing state.It is a smallish (150ml) tub,but the formula means a little spreads a long way....so that $30 outlay isn't so bad after all. If you loved the original Skinfood,go try this as a treatment for your summer weary bod (and keep it for the cold winter,when scaly skin rears it's ugly head. TIP:Faux tanning still ? To keep it looking as new as possible,for as long as possible,try this between tans to extend the life of you tan and to help it fade evenly.
