Weleda Skin Food Lip Balm

The Weleda Skin Food Lip Balm is a deeply nourishing lip treatment that instantly comforts my dry, chapped lips with it's rich, protective formula. My tube hasn't got the rounded tip as the illustration has - I have found this to be as good as any lip balm I've used. The best part for me is that it DOESN'T have a taste - I can't cope with lip products that have a definite taste. My lips need constant moisturising and I am super fussy with what I use and can tolerate. I refuse to use anything made in a country I won't trust to use quality ingredients as well as producing products with upmost care - this Weleda is made in Germany from 100% natural origin ingredients. Small enough to carry in a handbag, this is something I have repurchased and will continue to buy and recommend. My super sensitive skin has had no issues. I am also super sensitive to fragrance, this has none which is a major plus for me. I am happy to recommend this highly.

I really liked this lip balm, it’s really hydrating and perfect for chapped lips and cold dry windy weather for protection. The gel like consistency is easy to apply and it’s not sticky, it’s quite comfortable to wear. It’s great value for money and nourishes my lips with goodies. I love the beeswax for sealing in moisture and it smells really nice too. I do have to reapply quite a bit but probably only because I want a continuous layer of product to keep my lips soft and protected. I love weleda skin food and love this nourishing lip balm and will buy it again

I am a huge fan of Weleda Skin Food so I was really excited to see an extension of the product in the form of the body butter, a light version of original skin food and a lip balm.  In fact, I was most excited about the lip balm, but I have to say that I am somewhat disappointed.  As lip products go, it's totally average.  It doesn't last very long so it needs to be reapplied often.  That in itself doesn't bother me, but it's just the fact that it is not as outstanding as the product that inspired it.  I hate to say, but if there were no Skin Food lip balm, I (and likely many others) wouldn't miss it.  It's like any other tube of clearish gel-like balm ever made but with the faintest hint of Skin Food aroma to remind you that Weleda is amazing, but sometimes they can get it wrong too.

A product that I picked up for travel recently, it delivers intense hydration to the lips and is packed with clean and natural ingredients. The squeeze tube is perfect for travel and I found that it was effective to soothe my dry chapped lips. I also prep my lips with it and tissue off prior to applying lipstick and found that it helps particularly if you are wearing liquid lipsticks or matte lipsticks that can be drying on the lips. I am a fan of the brand and am happy with this latest purchase!
