Burt’s Bees Detoxifying Sheet Mask

I tried the Burt’s Bees Detoxifying Sheet Mask as I always feel that my skin is congested and is on need of well, a detox. I had loved every Burt's Bees product that I have tried to date, and add to that my obsession with sheet masks, so I was really excited to give this one a go. Reading the instructions on the product it says to leave the mask for up to 2 minutes, I thought this was quite odd, how can a sheet mask deliver within 2 minutes? Especially when its purpose is to draw out impurities and  detox". I dutifully did as I was told and kept the mask on for two minutes, it was easy to apply and felt like there was just enough saturation of product that it felt quite pleasant on. Once I removed the mask, I helped my skin to absorb the remaining serum that was on my skin. Once completely dry my skin felt a little tacky for quite some time after, and well beyond that I can't comment on mich more, unfortunately. At $9.99 for one application I was hoping to at least feel or see something different  some slight improvement in clarity, softness or hydration, but nup, nothing. I have loved so many sheet masks in my time, but there was nothing about this one that would make me want to purchase it again, in saying that I definitely will still try the other sheet masks from Burts Bees, as I still a huge fan of the brand.

My friend speaks highly of this mask so I decided to try it out. The sheet mask is very easy to apply and sits on my face nicely without sliding and the pack comes with a generous amount of serum. I leave the mask on for 20mins and tip the remaining serum onto the mask and put the mask on my neck. My skin feels very hydrated and it stops there for me. It is a very standard sheet mask for me.

I recently bought one of each of the Burts Bees masks to try out and have been loving their effect on my skin. I usually only use korean face masks, so wasn't too sure if I would like these ones, but I was pleasantly surprised. This charcoal one is great for making my skin feel cleansed and renewed. I will usually put one on after a shower, and I always feel super clean and refreshed afterwards. It's very gentle, so I would definitely recommend it to people with sensitive skin.  The embedded charcoal is said to help remove impurities, which I definitely think it does. My skin has gradually cleared up a bit, and is looking a lot brighter. I wouldn't use this mask more than once a week though. I think it provides a good enough clean and enough hydration to just use it once a week. The honey in the mask also helps to make my skin feel softer and more supple. I've noticed a reduction in dry skin and flaky patches when I use this. It's quick and easy to apply and has no added fragrance, so is very gentle and calming.
