Let face it not all eyebrows are created equal but Lancôme Le Sourcil Pro Gel can turn them into identical twins in no time with some light brushwork. The pot is only small because a little goes a long way and you don’t need much to get perfect brows. When I read 'gel-to-cream' I was afraid I would rub my brows all over my forehead during the day but I haven’t had any running, smudging or transfer issues! Huge plus for me! I would recommend this long-lasting eyebrow gel!
I tried this gel to cream brow product on the recommendation of a friend who told me to throw away my old brow pencil as this was a miracle product for brows, she was right. I love the pigment in this product, it filled in my sparse brows beautifully and looked really natural and as though my brows had been professionally done. It was really easy to use, and I must admit I was a little scared of how to use it at first as I had never even heard of a gel brow product. I used a small angled brush and just dipped it in the convenient little pot and dabbed it on with light feathery strokes, too easy, I love that it is buildable and also waterproof. This product gave me gorgeous looking brows that perfectly framed my face and didn't drag like my old pencil. I love Lancôme products, this French cosmetics house really delivers with this product and at under $50.00 it's great value as you only need a very small amount so it will last for ages. This is a real winner for me and I highly recommend it.
Having fair and sparse brows means that I always have to fill them in before leaving the house.  I have tried powders which are great for filling in the gaps but aren't the best option for the front of my brows as it tends to look blocky and not very natural.  Pencils are pretty good but I find that they tend to tug at my already thin brows and pull out some of the hairs with them.  I had asked one of my friends what she would use to make her eyebrows look so good and she told me about Lancome pro gel.  I had never heard of it before and was really desperate to try it out.  The texture of the brow gel was creamy and using a flat tipped angle brush, I dipped it into the gel and began with the out edge of my brows, working towards the front.  It went on so smoothly and allowed me to control exactly where I wanted the product.  I was really pleased with how pigmented the colour of the eyebrow cream was.  Just a small dab of it filled in more than half of my brows making it very economical.  It allowed me to create a nice arch for my brows, filling in the tails of my brows and then lightly shading in the front.  I used small, feather like strokes for the front to mimic the look of actual eyebrow hairs.  I did this at the end where there was less product on the brush as the front of the brows are lighter in general.  My eyebrows looked amazing, if I do say so myself.  I was able to get the definition and pigmentation that I wanted without it looking too fake.  For work I don't use as much so my eyebrows are less pronounced and at night I can always use more to make it more pigmented and the centre of attention.  What's also great about the formula is that you don't even have to set it with an eyebrow gel to keep the hairs in place.  The gel already does that for you!  I noticed it kept my eyebrows in place as the creaminess of the gel would hold the hairs, now allowing any movement.  I loved this as when using powders and pencils, I would have to set it with an eyebrow gel or else my brows would be all over the place and I would have to constantly fix it with a spoolie throughout the day.  The colour lasted throughout the day, my eyebrows were still perfectly in tact and looking amazing by the end of the night.  It won't budge so it's great if you're going to be out of the house for the whole day or you want to wear it for a special occasion.   Tip:  I place a spoolie over the top of the gel and gently rub it in then go over my eyebrows with it.  It gives my eyebrows a bit of colour while also acting as an eyebrow gel.
I have this gel in the colour 04 Chatain. This product can be fantastic if you have a perfect thin brush to apply it, otherwise it can get very thick and clumpy very easily. Its the perfect colour for me, I have quite dark, thick eyebrows and its perfect to mimic little hairs in the sparse places of my brows.  The best thing about this product is how long it stays on! I can go through a whole day of work and it won't budge, but its not hard to take off with makeup remover at the end of the day. The only con is the container doesn't keep it moist for long so the product can dry out quickly (depending on how much you use it), but if you play around with the product or warm it up on the back of your hand it becomes easy to blend again.
I tried the Lancôme Le Sourcil Pro Gel in the shade Blonde 01. This was the closest match to my natural hair color with a little more definition. It's available in 6 shades ranging from Blonde to Black which I think covers a good range and is Paraben free. It's competitively priced with other similar products and I believe the quality is as good also. Because of it's formulation, a creamy gel-like consistency, it is very smooth and easy to apply and non-greasy. I love that it's very buildable, whether you're after a fairly natural look, or a much more defined brow. It fills in brows evenly and gives a more fuller looking brow. I found that it lasts well throughout the day, even after more than 12 hours of wear it stays in place and it's waterproof. I recommend using a small angled brush for application, using the pointed end to outline and the flat side to fill in the brow brushing upward and outward in the natural direction of hair growth.
