Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm

These balms have been a staple product in my on-the-go makeup kit and I always have one stashed in one of my purses in case I need a touch up. I love the peppermint fragrance it has and the way it applies on the lip since it can be very pigmented or your can blot it off for a nice tint on the lips.

I love the packaging since it comes in a pencil form so it is easy to use and light to carry around. However, it might be the shade that I got, but it looks really glittery on the lips. It is not a good look for me and since it is the lightest colour in the range, it just looks frosty, goes on patchy and looks cheap on me. I didn't like the minty feel either since it dries out my already dry and chapped lips. I bought this because I like shine finish lip products but personally, I'd stick to the original colourburst tint balms. They are just as creamy but without the chunky glitters. I love Revlon lip products a lot but this is a miss for me. Judging from other reviews however, it might be just the shade that I picked that is the issue.

I love the Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm. I am a lip balm fan, and I find that the Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm is a great option for an everyday lip colour. If you like a glossy lip balm, then these Revlon balms are ones you should you try.   I have these lip balms in Demure (pretty light pink shade)and Enticing (a red shade), and they both suit my fair to medium skin tone.Demure is a shade that is lovely for everyday wear.   The Relvon ColorBurst Lacquer Balms come in a crayon like pencil with a twist applicator which is super convenient. These lip balms never need sharpening! Love it when I don’t have to carry a pencil sharpener for my lip products.    The lip balms have a fresh minty fragrance, and my lips tingle a little bit when applying the balm. The lip balms are really easy to apply, they glide onto your smoothly, and it feels very hydrating and smooth. The formula is very hydrating when applying, and the finish is a shiny glossy look.   With both of the shades I have, I find that the colour is buildable. With one layer it is a lovely sheer glossy colour on your lips but between 1-3 layers it becomes opaque and more pigmented.   The balm lasts for most of the day without needed a touch up. I like that when it’s fading off, it does so evenly and it looks natural so you don’t need to worry about frequently touching up your lip colour.   The Revlon Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm are similar to some of the Clinique Chubby sticks but with more a budget friendly price.   Overall, these Revlon balms are great value ad a fun lip product to use everyday. I adore these! Intensely pigmented shades with a minty sensation. Makes my lips appear much plumper than they are and leave a beautiful stain behind when worn off. The formula glides on like butter and is super smooth and plush. Has a nice glossy finish. I would definitely recommend this and repurchase.

A lovely smooth glide on textured lip crayon. Because it is a crayon it only takes one swipe on each lip to give full colour coverage. I bought Enticing Desirable which is a red-y brown shade and even though it looks very intense as a crayon it is actually a bit less dramatic on the lips, although you can build it up with extra applications, but that is too red for my colouring. The crayon comes in a love metallic package the colour on the outside IS the colour on the inside. Would buy this again

I never thought I'd be obsessed with a product like this, but this is a must-have in my handbag whenever I leave the house. With a range of colours available, this product is the easy solution to healthy-looking, flushed lips. Upon first application, the lips feel cool and slightly tingly due to the peppermint fragrance, which I find actually helps to plump the lips. Rather than an all-over matte finish, this product leaves a lovely tint, and can be built up to a brighter colour the more you apply. In terms of longevity, the product does come off when eating, but will last a few hours otherwise. But considering how easy it is to apply, this is hardly a problem!
