Oh my gosh – little Renee! She looks like a total baby here! Rocking shoulder-length blonde hair, the rising star embraced the ‘90s beauty trends with dark plum lips and flushed cheeks. So. Bloody. Cute.

Debuting a much shorter ‘do (all the proof we need that the bob is seriously timeless), Renee put her clear, glowing skin and plump pout on full display. It seriously doesn’t even look like she’s wearing a slick of makeup, yet she’s walking down the red carpet looking luminous as heck. GOALS.

When: 1999
We’ve got a badass over here! Renee looks every bit the grungy poster girl we tried so hard to be, with crimped hair, skinny brows and kohl-lined eyes. But she also looks beautifully fresh-faced, showing off her glowing skin and high cheekbones.

Yeah, the deep side part! Renee’s chin-length cut perfectly complements her pretty features, putting her high cheekbones on full display. We spy some gorgeous freckles, too!

Our smiles would also be that wide if we’d just won a Golden Globe! Wearing her hair in an elegant updo, she looks stunning with natural skin and a simple black eyeliner look.

We can confirm: Her cheekbones are out of control. Renee lets her enviable facial features and smooth skin take centre stage, tucking her short bob behind her ears. Also, can we please take a moment to appreciate that flip phone?

Um, remember when Renee Zellweger was a brunette? Because we completely forgot that this was even a thing. She shows off her trendy side fringe and signature plump pout - and we have to say, that hair colour brings out her blue eyes on a whole new level.

Back to her lighter locks, Renee looks totally glam and proves she *can* rock a short ‘do like no other. Her skin still looks every bit youthful and natural here, and we think she looks absolutely stunning.

Growing out her thin brows (because thicker brows change EVERYTHING), she has an almost line-free complexion, with plump cheeks and incredibly smooth skin.

So, this is the look that kind of shocked everyone. Renee looked almost unrecognisable on the ELLE red carpet, with fans even questioning if she was the same person! The actress responded to the plastic surgery rumours, telling People magazine in a statement, “I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows." 

In an open letter titled We Can Do Better, Renee set the record straight saying, “Not that it's anyone's business, but I did not make a decision to alter my face and have surgery on my eyes. This fact is of no true import to anyone at all, but that the possibility alone was discussed among respected journalists and became a public conversation is a disconcerting illustration of news/entertainment confusion and society's fixation on physicality."

When: 2016
Renee shows off her brow lines and smile lines, looking natural and fresh for her return as the character Bridget Jones. Again addressing the plastic surgery rumours, she told the BBC, “It's disconcerting when you see something you know is not true becoming the truth, simply because it’s been repeated enough. It opens the floodgates for something that could be of far greater consequence.”

Now age 50, the actress looks every bit Hollywood glam, appearing fresh-faced and glowy, with dewy makeup and a classy low-hanging, loose chignon.
