Take a mental journey back in time with us to the gloomy era where nail art was only ever dug out for super special occasions... Formals (a classic French), birthdays (birthday girl glitter designs, hello), theme parties (neon ‘80s-esque nails), you get the idea.
It was an unspoken rule; exciting event, exciting nail look. Anyone else remember the ‘mani cam’ celebs’ hands would ‘walk’ on red carpets? We certainly do.
Well, chalk it up to the fact that we’ve spent many of the last few years going stir crazy (and bare-nailed), or that the designs finally left the land of ‘leopard print only’ and expanded into much chicer arenas, but if you ask us (and our Insta feeds), every occasion is now one that warrants a statement mani.
