Ariana Grande’s trick for keeping her nails looking salon-fresh in self-iso

It’s a nod to the noughties

Press-on nails have come a long since the ‘90s when the only options available were limited to pastel shades more often than not adorned with glittery butterflies. No one knows this better than singer Ariana Grande who was recently spotted showing off her latest press-on nails on Instagram.

If you’re not familiar with the concept, press-on nail kits involve an acrylic resin nail that's fixed to the surface of your natural nail using a double-sided sticker or glue. The product gives a similar look to a salon-done acrylic manicure however the results generally only last a few days at most.

These days a myriad of fun press-on nail options exist that make changing your nails up at home a total cinch. In the age of physical distancing, thanks to COVID-19, the resurgence of this noughties-inspired beauty trend couldn’t have come at a better time.

If you’d like to try press-on nails, some of our current faves are Elegant Touch Jelly Nails in Jelly Bae, KISS Salon Acrylic Nude French Nails in Breathtaking and Sportsgirl Stick On Nails in Neon.
