When it comes to keeping up with the nail trends, we’re hardly slouches. Probably because we’re spending a) an ungodly amount of time scrolling through social media and b) we’re great at keeping up with our nail appointments. With these two things in mind, we’re forever finding (and trying out) new nail trends.
Now don’t get us wrong, ‘Soap nails’ have offered a gloriously low-key (dare we say ‘old money’) shift away from the likes of the boldly coloured (and textured) ‘Aura nails’. And we’re definitely looking forward to winter when we can truly enter our Mob Wife era (red nails included). But for now? We want something subtle, shimmering and that will take us from summer to winter with no questions asked. Enter: ‘Frosted Ice nails’. We think this trend will be 2024’s answer to the ‘Blueberry Milk’ nail trend…
Christina Aguilera’s ‘Frosted Ice nails’
One of the celebs we have to thank for said trend’s arrival? Christina Aguilera. Well, her and celebrity nail artist extraordinaire Zola Ganzorigt (known as Nails by Zola). Ganzorigt has earnt ‘Queen’ status in our eyes, not only because she’s a top notch nail artist, but because she shares exactly how she created the eye-catching looks.
At the 2024 Grammys, the star hit the red carpet with a bold hit of bronzing highlight, an elegant dress and of course, incredible talons thanks to Ganzorigt. We simply don’t think there’s anything more iconic than nails that match the dress.
How to recreate the look
You don’t need a “Genie In A Bottle” to grant this recreating wish. While we’ve gotten very used to chrome powders (thanks to Hailey Bieber) in the last year or so, this look surprisingly doesn’t feature one.
To create the shimmering look, Ganzorigt used OPI’s latest collection ‘OPIYourWay’, which focuses on creating customisable colours. This collection is seriously here to change up the polish game.

Follow said steps and you’ll have both a stunningly icy manicure to rival Aguilera’s and a reputation for being ahead of all the nail trends.
