The unexpected beauty trend sweeping Coachella

The Unexpected Beauty Trend Spotted At Coachella 2019

We didn’t see that coming…

Beauty Crew Digital Content Editor / April 17 2019

Last year at Coachella, we saw technicolour dyed ‘dos, loads of ’90s-style space buns and the ultimate throwback trend – a high pony topped off with a scrunchie. And for your face? Glitter dusted over everything, plus a few stick-on face gems for good measure.

So this year, we were wondering where can we possibly go from there? What kind of crazy looks will we see at Coachella 2019?

And the answer is…not many

Over the first weekend of the festival, we’ve seen an overwhelming number of celebs rocking natural makeup and fuss-free, undone hairstyles, with many embracing their hair’s natural texture. And to be honest, we love it.

The look is carefree, uncomplicated and totally reminiscent of how our parents probably would have rocked up to the legendary Woodstock Music Festival back in 1969.

We’re loving seeing a return to these more natural beauty looks. After all, wouldn’t you rather enjoy a music festival properly instead of spending hours fussing with complicated hair and makeup looks?

Here are some of the best 2019 Coachella looks that have stolen our hearts, so far.

Tash Oakley

Georgia Fowler

Gigi Hadid

Jasmine Tookes

Emily Ratajkowski

Joan Smalls

Elsa Hosk

Rebecca Judd

So simple, right? The best part is that if you’re camping at a festival, these looks are super easy to achieve.

So roll on weekend number two. Let’s see what festival beauty inspo round two of Coachella 2019 brings!
