Vanessa Hudgens' low-key bridal beauty plan proves she's anything but a bridezilla

Here's how she's prepping her 'problematic' skin for the big day

Vanessa Hudgens is no stranger to big events – hello, she hosted the Oscars red carpet this year! But with a wedding on the horizon (following her engagement to baseball player Cole Tucker), you might think she’d be kicking her ‘event prep’ beauty routine into especially high-gear.

Well, you’d be wrong. Hudgens just ran Refinery29 through her bridal beauty prep plan, and it turns out she’s a rather relaxed bride-to-be. Here are all the details…

Vanessa Hudgens’ wedding prep skin treatments

A general pre-wedding skin treatment checklist includes everything from Fraxel lasers and filler appointments to Botox touch-ups. Hudgens, however, has no plans to participate. "That's not really my vibe," she explained. "Not a lot beauty-wise will change for me between now and then."

Her reasoning is rock solid, too. On top of still looking every bit as fresh and youthful as she did in her Disney days, Hudgens wants to look like herself on the big day. “Natural beauty is where it's at," she added. "I feel like the love of your life accepts you and loves you for who you are, so why would you want to change it?"

So if not much will change before the big day, what’s her routine now? The High School Musical star confirmed that it involves relying on naturally-sourced ingredients to handle her biggest skin concerns. So no, she's not forgoing treatments solely because her skin is absolutely perfect.

“I have oily, problematic skin; I struggled with acne for most of my life," Hudgens explained. "I'm always looking for something that I can throw into my skin care regimen that'll help out. I'm a big nature girl. I love a holistic approach. I love looking to Mother Nature for her remedies."

Her fave purifying formula actually hails from her own brand. “I use it almost every day," Hudgens shared re: the Know Beauty Clay Mask (currently sold out on Amazon). "I put it on my skin first thing [in the morning]. Then I brush my teeth, look at my phone, and hop into the shower to rinse it off.” FYI, it’s billed by the brand as a ‘four minute facial’; perhaps that’s why she’s skipping the salon!

Her other non-negotiable skin steps? “I also cleanse, tone, and use serum, then I love a moisturiser and sunscreen put together," she shared. While Hudgens hasn’t yet specified all the particular products she rates, we’ll keep our ears to the ground for updates…

Vanessa Hudgens’ wedding nails

Hudgens will be calling in the pros for her nails, though. In fact, Hudgens called her manicures "the least low-maintenance thing ever.” She trusts LA nail artist Zola Ganzorigt (who yes, helped Hailey Bieber coin the ‘glazed donut’ trend) to finesse her hard gel manicures to perfection.

“She got me on the pearlescent chrome and I've been obsessed with it ever since," Hudgens noted of her experience working with Ganzorigt. "I used to love doing crazy, outrageous nail art but the older I've gotten, the more I crave simplicity." That bodes well for her bridal manicure – we’d love to see a classic neutral shade with a fun pearlescent finish.
