Curly hair alert: A rare glimpse at Ariana Grande’s natural hair

Turns out her hair isn’t naturally straight

Besides having a killer voice, Ariana Grande’s high, tight, sleek and *epically* long ponytail is kind of her calling card, but you may be surprised to learn the singer’s natural hair is actually extremely curly.

Since her days on the TV show Victorious, Ariana has been straightening and dying her natural curls, which unsurprisingly has resulted in some pretty serious hair damage. In 2014, she revealed in a Facebook post that after years of dying her hair red to play Cat in the Nickelodeon series between 2010 and 2013, her hair was so damaged and broken that it looked “absurd when I let it down”.

It seems Arianna has had her natural hair prayers answered though, in the form of celebrity hairstylist Josh Liu who has worked with the singer for a number of years and helped her to completely transform the health of her hair.

Liu shared a recent photo of Ariana with her natural curls on full display to document the singer’s miraculous hair journey with the caption: “natural curls coming in strong with a little tlc 🖤”

As expected, Ariana Grande’s fans were freaking out:

“That’s my girl. Natural beauty. The prettiest. Keep her natural hair forever pls.”

“SHE NEEDS HER CURLS ON STAGE.”

“Please make her do curly hair on tour she’s beautiful😍😍😍.”

“PLS DO HER HAIR LIKE THIS to go on stage.”

We hope Ariana and Liu follow their recommendations because we would *LOVE* to see her natural curls in all their glory, too.
