Want to give your beauty kit a total revamp? You’ve come to the right place. March is proving to be an exciting month, with all these new beauty products set to hit shelves soon and pamper you from head to toe. Yep, we’re talking hair products, facial moisturisers and body treatments - the whole lot.
L'Oréal Paris Clinically Proven Lash Serum
Look no further if you’re after a product that can boost volume in lashes and make each little hair stronger to help prevent lash loss. “I used L'Oréal Paris Clinically Proven Lash Serum religiously (twice a day for just over a month), and noticed my lashes became so much less prone to falling out during my nightly makeup removal,” says Beauty Crew’s Editor, Carli Alman. “And because they were falling out less, my natural lashes started looking a bit fuller.” Yep, we’re hooked.
Weleda Skin Food Light
When it comes to soothing skin that feels tight or chapped, we can’t go past celebrity skin care fave Weleda Skin Food. Now, the calendula and chamomile-based formula has been reinvented in the form of Skin Food Light, which boasts the same intensive care properties but in a lighter formula that sinks in even faster.
Westman Atelier Super Loaded Tinted Highlighter
We’ve never met a highlighter that looked so believable when buffed into skin until we came across celebrity makeup artist Gucci Westman’s very own Westman Atelier Super Loaded Tinted Highlighter. Blend the silky powder into cheekbones and into eyelids to even out your skin tone, boost warmth and finish your skin with a healthy-looking glow all over.
Biore Blue Agave Mask
You may usually associate blue agave with tequila, but the Mexican botanical has now made its way into our skin care, and we’re all for it. Biore’s Blue Agave Mask feels creamy on skin but tingles gently after a minute or two - that’s when you know the formula is working to degunk and tighten pores. Added bonus: You only need to leave it on skin for five minutes. Talk about quick and easy.
CHANEL Rouge Coco Flash
This month, CHANEL Rouge Coco Flash has won us over in the lip department. The reason? We love that the silky lip colour feels lightweight (and not at all sticky) on lips, but doesn’t compromise on performance; all the shades are packed with pigment, so they all deliver a serious punch and finish to a glossy texture.
Dermalogica Prisma Protect SPF15
We haven’t seen such a clever moisturiser hit shelves in a long time. Dermalogica Prisma Protect SPF15 can protect skin against pollution and UVA and UVB rays, but what really caught our eye is the use of intelligent drone technology, which works to boost skin’s natural luminosity when it senses visible light, making it a top choice to layer under your foundation every morning.
L’Occitane Citrus Verbena Body Foam Moisturiser
We’re all for quick and easy beauty solutions, which is why L’Occitane Citrus Verbena Body Foam Moisturiser has a place in this gallery this month. “It’s not often that I find body moisturising a unique experience but the mousse formula (it feels almost exactly like a hair mousse) made for a nice change,” says Beauty Crew’s Editor, Carli Alman. “The formula spread super easily and very surprisingly, absorbed within a minute or two - no sticky or tacky finish! A great one if you love a scented body moisturiser, too.”
P.E. Nation x O&M Cosmetics Case
Instead of lugging full-sized hair products in your suitcase when you travel, opt for mini versions that can nourish and tame your locks on the go. This month sees Aussie haircare brand Original & Mineral collaborate with Australian athleisure brand P.E. Nation to launch a collection of must-have cosmetic bags filled with Maintain The Mane Shampoo, Maintain The Mane Conditioner, No Knott Detangler and Atonic Thickening Spritz.
Now it’s easier than ever to customise our moisturisers. Clinique iD allows you to pick your moisturiser base (there’s a Moisturizing Lotion, Oil-Control Gel and Hydrating Jelly to pick from), then pick your treatment cartridge to target different skin concerns (such as irritation, pores and uneven texture, uneven skin tone, fatigue and lines and wrinkles). The cleverly-designed bottle also allows for the moisturiser and treatment to be kept separately, and will only be infused together when you press the pump, guaranteeing potency with every application.
Santa Maria Novella Tabacco Toscano Eau De Cologne
Taking inspiration from the famous Tuscan cigar by Manifattura di Lucca, this unisex spritz is absolutely alluring, and carries top notes of bergamot and jasmine, which settle into a heart of spices and tobacco, and finish on a bed of cedarwood, amber, musk, vanilla and barley. The result is a subtle but still memorable scent that is definitely one for those who are looking to get into smokier scents.
Guerlain L'Essentiel Natural Glow Foundation 16h Wear SPF 20
Besides the fact that it’s one of the prettiest foundation bottles we’ve ever seen, Guerlain’s latest base carries long-wearing properties and is buildable for light to medium coverage. The 97 per cent natural formula is also worth a mention, especially as it is infused with red algae to protect skin from pollution and white cocoa bean to prevent skin ageing from blue light.
The trick to making foundation look like your skin (but better) comes down to technique: here are three ways to blend it properly.
