If there's one thing a beauty editor can do, it's narrow down the best products in any category for any season. So when we set ourselves the challenge of naming the best summer beauty products across the board, we took it extremely seriously.
Only the best of the best in the summer beauty realm made the cut, and here they are. Once you've got these in your stash (in addition, of course, to all your sun safety essentials), you'll be set for the whole season...
Best Summer Beauty Products
#1: Chanel Le Lift Flash Eye Revitaliser Firming Anti-Wrinkle Patches
According to Delaney, BEAUTYcrew's Editor
What makes it one of the best summer beauty products: "Aside from being truly phenomenal for chic selfies (and this power scores them a lot of points), these are genuinely my favourite eye patches for refreshing and plumping my eye area. The shape is perfect, they're generous in size (reaching all the way onto the cheekbone), and hug the skin easily. If I'm prepping for an outing, I'll apply while I style my hair before tapping in the excess product remaining, as they only need five minutes to work their makeup prep magic. If it's a pool day on the agenda, however, I like to keep them on for a few hours. They physically disguise puffiness while they work on reducing it, and if you ask me, a pair of eye patches pairs perfectly with a sun lounger and a celebrity memoir."

#2: Raaie Tranquillity Water Activating Mist
According to Briar, BEAUTYcrew's Beauty Editor
What makes it one of the best summer beauty products: “During summer I’d love to be able to spend all my time taking a refreshing dip in the ocean, but when I’m not within walking distance to a beach this activating mist is the next best thing on a hot day. I like to mist my face after cleansing to prep my skin for my skin care routine, as well as at the end of my makeup to help all the products melt together for a skin-like finish. It infuses skin with electrolyte-charged moisture, hydrating my complexion for up to 72 hours after a light spritzing.”

#3: John Frieda Violet Crush Purple Conditioner for Blondes
According to Delaney, BEAUTYcrew's Editor
What makes it one of the best summer beauty products: "Summer tends to be a tough time for blondes. You're dealing with both needing your colour to be its brightest for everything on the social calendar and a desire to swim frequently, which doesn't exactly leave blonde at its best. Considering our colourists also deserve a bit of a summer break, I advise reclaiming your previously creamy blonde with this violet-hued conditioner. I've tried endless blonde-toning formulas in my time as a beauty editor, and this is the only one that actually makes a visible difference while still remaining subtle (AKA not leaving hair more 'lilac' than 'fresh'). I like to apply it as my final step (after my regular hydrating shampoo, conditioner and mask trio) to tie everything back together colour wise. I find that stark lines at my roots appear more blended, the colour looks creamier overall, and there's a noticeable softness to my hair after use. I only leave it on for about 30 seconds before rinsing, but I'm always impressed with the way my blonde looks afterwards, even 6 weeks after my highlight appointment."

#4: Haus Labs By Lady Gaga Color Fuse Glassy Blush Balm Stick in ‘Glassy Ginger’
According to Briar, BEAUTYcrew's Beauty Editor
What makes it one of the best summer beauty products: “I’m not one to pile on makeup in the middle of a heatwave, instead I like to rejuvenate my complexion with a touch of carefully placed colour. This ‘blonzer’ cheek product transforms my skin; it’s slightly sun-kissed, slightly flushed and has a glassy, dewy finish that makes my cheeks look plump and healthy. I like to buff the cream formula onto the high points of my face where the sun typically hits for the most natural finish possible.”
SHOP HERE: $59 at Sephora
#5: MERIT Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil in 'Les Deux'
According to Delaney, BEAUTYcrew's Editor
What makes it one of the best summer beauty products: "I live in lip oils all summer, so I generally have a minimum of 12 in my purse at all times. This sheer-but-bright pink jelly-inspired option is the one that I found myself digging around for time and time again, so it's officially secured its spot as one of my top summer essentials. It's comfortable, feels hydrating, and adds a level of believable pigment that is just right for days where you don't have a lick of makeup on, but still compliments a full face of glowy summer makeup when you need it to. I love a bit of glitter generally, but I've been enjoying how this formula is pearlescent rather than sparkly—the non-shimmery finish keeps the poppy pink shade a bit more grown up."

#6: Morphe Micro Manager Gripping Brow Gel
According to Briar, BEAUTYcrew's Beauty Editor
What makes it one of the best summer beauty products: “Experience has taught me that so long as my brows are neatly groomed with a comb and set with a brow gel, it instantly makes me look more put together and awake. A necessary addition to one’s beauty routine if, like me, you wake up parched and disorientated after a balmy summer’s night. This formula from Morphe is the first I’ve tried that actually manages to keep my wiry eyebrow hairs in place all day long without looking stiff and unnatural.”
SHOP HERE: $29 at Selfridges
#7: Prada Beauty Prada Infusion d'Ylang Eau De Parfum
According to Delaney, BEAUTYcrew's Editor
What makes it one of the best summer beauty products: "Prada Infusion scents have always been some of my most precious. Does anyone else remember (and long for/salvage every spritz of) the Mimosa edition? Heavenly. That's originally how I came to discover this newer d'Ylang version. I went to add it to cart assuming the yellow bottle still housed the same scent before realising it was a new fragrance altogether. I was definitely disappointed at first, but after reading that its ylang flower-centric scent was described with the words 'floral' and 'sunny', I decided to try it out with an open mind, and I've been hooked ever since. It's definitely got a bit more spice and wood in the mix, with hints of cardamom and sandalwood, but they work beautifully with the brighter notes of bergamot and (of course) ylang-ylang. I plan to put it away come March (until December rolls around again) to keep it specifically for summer use."

#8: Image Skincare Vital C Hydrating Anti-Aging Serum
According to Briar, BEAUTYcrew's Beauty Editor
What makes it one of the best summer beauty products: “I’m high key obsessed with this vitamin C serum right now. It’s unbelievably hydrating, not to mention brightening, while still being gentle on my sensitive skin. As someone who’s always had to avoid vitamin C serums in the past, it’s nice to finally find a formula that works for my skin, so my complexion can reap the full benefits of this top tier skin care ingredient.”

#9: Bondi Sands Self Tan Drops
According to Delaney, BEAUTYcrew's Editor
What makes it one of the best summer beauty products: "These tan drops have been my beauty MVP so far this summer. It took me a long time to discover drops that actually went on even (and a decently natural colour), so in all honesty, I'd remained a 'slather pore-clogging body tan all over my face' type of girl for far too long. My skin was the best it's been in years this summer and that has to be something to do with it. The drops are designed for both face and body, but I only take them onto my face and slightly down my neck for a seamless blend. It's such a relief that I don't have to dread face-tanning night anymore, and I can even pop them on for a day-time top-up without looking like I'm wearing anything. I mix two to three drops with my usual Rhode moisturiser and it feels like I'm just applying straight skin care, yet I wake up with a glossy, golden glow (and far less fake tan-related congestion)."

#10: Le Labo Thé Matcha 26
According to Briar, BEAUTYcrew's Beauty Editor
What makes it one of the best summer beauty products: “In winter it’s easy to find mature-smelling scents; rich woods, intoxicating spices and the like, are a dime a dozen. However in summer I find myself reaching for tea scents like Le Labo’s Thé Matcha 26 as a way to keep the luxurious energy going through the warmer months of the year. It’s technically a skin scent, so it’s not particularly overwhelming in the Australian heat. Instead, the fragrance’s vetiver and cedar base is brightened and refreshed by the presence of creamy fig, bitter orange and aromatic matcha notes.”
SHOP HERE: $362 at Le Labo
#11: Avène Thermal Spring Water
According to Delaney, BEAUTYcrew's Editor
What makes it one of the best summer beauty products: "My face gets flushed and sweaty just from existing during the Australian summer, so I always need a bottle of this cooling mist within reach. It's super cheap so restocks are never a worry, and I don't have to feel guilty about pretending to solely use it as a 'face' spray when I'm definitely misting it all over my body for a cooling veil of hydration. It always helps to leave my skin a little softer to the touch too, which is always appreciated. The amount of times I use it per day? The limit truly does not exist. It goes under and over my skin care steps, I apply it before and after any makeup products to prime and set, and I like to refresh about nine times an hour whenever the heat gets to be a bit too much."
