Whilst we love a bold makeup look just as much as the next person, the reality is for our day-to-day beauty routine we prefer a look that’s a cinch to create. Click through our gallery to see how Blake Lively subtly changes up her go-to look for some serious natural makeup inspiration.
Keep your makeup simple and mix up your hair by styling your locks into bouncy curls like Blake. Quick tip: curl your hair into tight curls the night before, and let them settle over night. In the morning simply spritz a texturising spray such as Bumble and Bumble's City Swept Finish into the ends, brush through with your fingers and go.
Shape and Sculpt
When you want to add some oomph to your everyday makeup look, enhancing your lashes is a fail-safe option. You can either coat your lashes with a lengthening and volumising mascara such as L'Oréal Paris' Telescopic Mascara or take your cue from Blake and apply natural-looking, wispy false lashes to create a more dramatic look.
Keep it neutral
Embrace a ‘less is more’ approach like Blake and go for a neutral makeup look with barely a hint of colour on the skin. Make sure not to apply a lip colour that is too light for your skin tone though to avoid washing your complexion out.
It’s one of the easiest style changes to make but mixing up your part can make a huge difference (for proof, check out our gallery of the best celebrity part changes). Switch up your hairstyle by sectioning your hair on the opposite side of your head or even opt for a centre part.
Pop of pink
Step away from the bronze and brown eyeshadow tones and opt for a soft, shimmery pink shade. Apply sparingly and blend out well to replicate Blake’s romantic and pretty look.
The no-makeup makeup look
Subtly enhance your best features with a no-makeup makeup look by going back to basics. For this look all you need is a lengthening mascara, tinted brow gel and a pop of pink on the lips. What’s not to love about that?
Bronze it up
Just because your legs have gone into hiding in the winter months, doesn’t mean your bronzer has to too. Create a natural-looking summer glow with a touch of bronzer on your forehead and the tops of your cheekbones.
The dark lip without the commitment
A muted berry or red lip accompanied with a natural makeup look is always a winning combination. Mix up your go-to look by applying either a dark lipstick and blotting it off to create a stain, or a dark tinted lip balm like Maybelline New York Baby Lips Electro Pop to make your lips pop with a glossy sheen.
Line it up
Take your natural daytime makeup to the next level by applying brown pencil eyeliner to the outer corners of the upper and lower lash line. Then smudge it out with your fingers, a brush or cotton tip to re-create Blake’s sultry eye look.
