True, getting all dressed up to the nines and looking a million dollars is all in a day’s work for a celeb. But their wedding day will always top any red carpet event, so you can bet they reach for the best of the best makeup products to make them look like themselves - only better - as they walk down the aisle. So what products made the cut for some of Hollywood’s top A-listers? Here are the hero beauty products that made these seven celebrities’ wedding day look.
Big Bang Theory star, Kaley Cuoco walked down the aisle just a few weeks ago and apparently she used a whopping 18 products to perfect her wedding day makeup look! Her makeup artist Jamie Greenberg shared the full makeup how-to with People and in her kit was a lot of Cover FX products, along with some from Burt’s Bees, a brow product from Anastasia Beverly Hills, fake lashes from Ardell and Surratt Beauty’s Lash Curler. But for us the hero was that pearlescent gleam in the inner corners of Kaley’s eyes, for which Greenberg used the White Gold shade from the Cover FX Gold Bar Highlighting Palette. Just heaven!
What products are worthy of a royal wedding? Meghan’s friend Daniel Martin (who just so happens to be a pro makeup artist) was rumoured to have used a mixture of Dior (he’s their ambassador, after all) and Honest Beauty (that’s Jessica Alba’s beauty brand) to create her bridal look. The hero would have to be her base, for which it’s believed Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation was used. It nailed that balance between enough coverage to make Meghan’s skin beam with wedded bliss, but not too much that it covered up her signature freckles.
Fun fact: When Meghan asked Martin to do her makeup for her wedding, it was via text and included little more than a bride, groom and shhh emoji!
When Miranda married her Snapchat Prince Charming, Evan Spiegel, she opted for a very glowing, naturally beautiful makeup look. And, she shared the entire routine with Vogue in a how-to video. Our favourite element of Miranda’s makeup was her rosy and oh-so-dewy cheekbones, for which she used La Prairie Cellular Cream Blush in Rose Glow. Bride-to-bes: we recommend adding to cart immediately!
It’s no surprise that celebs turn to their famous makeup artist friends on their wedding day, and Shanina was no exception: She asked Rae Morris to make her beautiful on her wedding day (not exactly a tough gig!). To complement the beach setting, Morris mixed Guerlain Terracotta – The Bronzing Powder with Stila Convertible Colour in Rose to give Shanina a sun-kissed glow. As you’d expect, Shanina’s brows were flawless and the rest of her makeup was very minimal.
Fashion designer and reality star Whitney Port went non-traditional on her wedding day when she wore a high-low wedding gown that showed off her long, lean legs. For her makeup, she chose a look that was super pared back with what seemed to be little more than mascara on her lashes, a glisten of luminiser on her cheekbones and a dark nude lip colour. “I wanted the look to feel understated and natural but with light peach, pinky, shimmery tones,” Whitney shared on her website, whitneyport.com. To do just that, Whitney’s makeup artist Phoebe Ogan applied Tarte Cheek Stain in Glisten to her cheekbones. Mission accomplished.
When Kim married Kanye it was her long-time makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic who she entrusted with the all-important job of doing her makeup. And lucky for us, he wasn’t shy in sharing all the products he used in an interview with E! News. Our favourite feature from Kim’s wedding makeup was her smoky eyes. To add definition to her lash line – without the risk of smudging as the festivities carried on into the evening – Dedivanovic used Urban Decay Ink for Eyes Waterproof Precision Eye Pen.
Ever since Tim Robards gave Anna Heinrich the final rose on Australia’s inaugural The Bachelor Australia, we’ve all been waiting for the day the two would walk down the aisle. And this year it finally happened, in what looked like the most romantic, picture-perfect Italian setting. Anna surprised us when she opted for a chic ponytail for her wedding hairstyle and a smokier-than-expected makeup look. When Anna shared a ‘MIDWAY selfie’ on her Instagram of her wedding makeup, her followers were quick to ask what shade of lipstick she was wearing. Thankfully, her hair and makeup artist Lily Toma of Lily and Co Hair, filled in the blanks, revealing the glistening nude-pink shade was Charlotte Tilbury Revolutionary Matte Lipstick in Pillow Talk.
