Get the look: Karlie Kloss’ bold lips and glowing skin
The five products that will help you achieve this stunning makeup
Sometimes there’s a misconception that a statement beauty look requires setting aside a solid hour. And while some makeup techniques certainly require the time and patience of a saint (if you can do winged liner in seconds, you deserve a medal!), there are a few quick makeup combinations that’ll see you achieve your statement status in a mere matter of minutes.
So, if you’re stuck for a look that’s as quick and easy to create as it is effective in turning heads, look no further than Karlie Kloss’s stunning bold red lip and glowing skin combination.
Once you’ve completed your base, here’s what you’ll need to recreate the makeup, and how to use each product for maximum wow factor.
A standout lip colour
The key to success in this makeup look is a boldly pigmented lip colour that demands attention…AND stays put.
To copy Karlie’s true red, use L’Oréal Paris Infallible Lip Paint in Red Actually #204. The creamy formula sets into a velvety matte finish that doesn’t feel dry or uncomfortable on your lips. The doe-foot applicator will also ensure you have maximum control for a precise application and a sharp line around your lips.
If you’d prefer a darker, vampier red than Karlie’s, try Infallible Lip Paint in Apocalypse Red #205. The range also features eight other bold shades (in both matte and lacquered finishes), so experiment by adding your take on this look with your own choice of lip colour.
A precision brow enhancer
Karlie’s brows are not only arched to perfection, but they’ve been filled in for a beautifully fluffy and natural result. You’ll want to use a brow pencil with a tiny, precise tip to create hair-like strokes to fill in and define your brows. Then, use a spoolie to brush your hairs up into place. The upwards motion will give them a more natural finish.
A matte bronzer
Enhance your cheek contours by using a matte bronze powder just under your actual cheekbone. The matte finish will help create the illusion of a shadow while a soft bronze shade will give your complexion warmth. While you may be tempted to create quite a strong line, use a loose powder brush to slowly build your colour and contour for a more natural look.

A shimmery highlighter
Give your skin that glowing, radiant finish by dabbing a liquid highlighter along your cheekbone, from the apple of your cheek up to your temple. The trick is to keep this light – you shouldn’t be able to see your highlighter when your face is in shadow; you only want to see that highlighter gleam when the light hits it.
