Australia’s golden girl, Margot Robbie has firmly secured her spot in our list of top beauty muses. The actress constantly looks flawless at every red carpet event and just recently stunned in the campaign for Calvin Klein’s new fragrance, Deep Euphoria.

Always keen for a sneak peek into the beauty routines of our muses in the hope of picking up a tip or two, we were excited when Margot shared her top beauty secrets in a recent interview with British Vogue. Here’s what we learnt:

#1 / Her favourite skin care brand

In true Aussie style, Margot revealed that she likes to take a simple approach to skin care and focuses on ensuring she has really clean skin. Margot also mentioned that she discovered her current favourite skin care brand, 111Skin when her makeup artist, Pati Dubroff introduced her to it. “They have these sheet masks; they’re made out of a jelly sort of stuff and the serum they’re soaked in is so good,” she said.

#2 / Her everyday makeup routine

For everyday wear Margot relies on “either Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser or Ellis Faas Skin Veil Foundation mixed in with some moisturiser.” She likes to keep the rest of her look low-key by brushing her brows and using a touch of pencil before applying “mascara and a bit of cream blush. For a little lip colour I’ll just use the tinted lip balms by Burt’s Bees,” she added.

#3 / How her approach to beauty has changed

Like many of us, Margot spent a large portion of her teenage years applying multiple layers of makeup simply because she could. She shared that her makeup philosophy has changed as she got older and her confidence built. “Now I’ll happily just go to dinner wearing tinted moisturiser.”

#4 / The biggest beauty lesson she’s learnt

The biggest beauty lesson she learnt was from her friend and former Pan Am co-star, Kelli Garner who told her “you wear too much makeup. All the colours you’re putting on your face are already there. You have purple veins on your eyelids, that’s your eyeshadow. Your cheeks go really red when you’re warm or giggling, that’s your blush.” She said although she was initially taken back by the comment, she took it on board and it has now become a really positive makeup mantra of hers.
