Kate Hudson’s best hairstyles from buzz cut to beachy waves
She’s had a rollercoaster of hair transformations
Beauty Crew Contributing Editor / April 15 2020
When you think of Kate Hudson’s hair, you immediately think of her golden boho waves. But Kate’s had some daring hair makeovers over the years, including the time she rocked blue hair for Bride Wars and her most dramatic (and her favourite) hair transformation to date: a shaved head.
Making the drastic change for her role in the movie Sister, Kate Hudson’s shaved head wasn’t the work of her long-time hairdresser friend David Babaii. Kate actually let her son Hudson (who was only six at the time) and pal singer/songwriter Sia have the honours. Rather than freak out, she says she found shaving her head “so liberating”. “The shaved head was awesome,” she told Harpers Bazaar UK. "I really loved it, I actually miss it,” she later said on the TV show Lorraine after her hair had started to grow back. While we think she pulled off a shaved head amazingly well, we’re pretty partial to her golden locks - and all the amazing ways she’s styled them over the years. These are our favourite Kate Hudson hairstyles and hair makeovers of all time.
Meet Kate’s natural hair colour! While we've always thought of her as a natural blonde, her hair is naturally a dark blonde to light brown shade.
