We know your chests are already swelling with national pride with our beloved Matildas headed to Paris for the 2024 Olympics (not to mention their recent win right here in Aus). But while you may have seen the squad announcement for the Games, there’s actually a fresh face joining the Tillies line-up, and he (yes, he!) might just be the youngest ever…
Katrina Gorry baby
Yep, you guessed it! Tillies star (and one of our personal fave players) Katrina Gorry, AKA ‘Mini’ to those in the know, has welcomed a baby boy named Koby with her partner Clara Markstdt (a fellow footballer who hails from Sweden; what a talented fam).
And of course, we’re all well acquainted with Harper Gorry, Koby’s sweet big sister, who has well and truly captured the hearts of Tillies fans all over. If you’ve seen her iconic squad announcement, you’ll know her involvement in the Matildas is basically the cutest thing to ever occur – the gal's simply a star. And she's loving her new role (as a big sis), as revealed by Gorry and Markstdt in their announcement post.
"Our sweet baby boy 🩵 Koby Peter David Gorry. Born 9/6 at 10:36am. 3660g & 50cm. Big sister is absolutely in love and our hearts are so full," they shared.

Gorry’s fellow Matildas team members flocked to the comments of her announcement to share love for the family. “Gorgeous family ❤️❤️❤️,” Charlotte Grant wrote, with Mackenzie Arnold and Caitlin Foord (among others) sharing support in sweet emoji form.
So do we have another budding soccer star on our hands? It’s too soon to tell – but we’re sending a big congrats to the new fam of four!
