Kim Kardashian is being called out for promoting unhealthy body standards

People are not happy about her latest Instagram post

Kim Kardashian has frequently come under fire for her questionable dieting habits prior to red carpet events.

Remember when she abstained from carbs and sugar for three weeks prior to the 2022 Met Gala in order to fit into an archival gown that was once worn by Marilyn Monroe? Her apparent weight loss shocked many, but according to the SKIMS founder, it further fuelled her desire to overhaul her lifestyle and she lost almost 10 kilos in the process.

"I looked at it like a role. And I really wanted to wear this dress. It was really important to me. It actually taught me a lot about my lifestyle and my health. And since then, afterwards, I continued to eat really healthy," she told Harper's Bazaar in 2022. "I’m down 21 pounds now. I’m not trying to lose any more weight, but I have more energy than ever. I cut out so much sugar. A lot of junk food I was eating … I just completely changed my lifestyle."

However, it appears as though the 43 year old has pushed her body to it's limits once more in order to fit into a skin tight garment, and commentators aren't happy about it.

During Paris Fashion Week she shared an image of herself wearing an archival corset from late French designer Thierry Mugler's Spring 1998 Couture collection that's cinched in so tightly around her waist she looks like a Victorian era caricature.

In the comments section of the Instagram post Kardashian is being slammed for promoting an "unhealthy and unnatural" body standard to impressionable young people.

"That’s how you look when you take two or more ribs out. Not a great image for young girls," said one concerned commenter.

Other comments were made such as "her organs are displaced, so cruel to the human anatomy", "you look sick" and "why? that looks tortuous" by people who were clearly shocked by the image and failed to see anything fashionable about the 43 year old's dangerously thin waist.

Kardashian has yet to respond to critics' concerns about her slim appearance, but considering her obsession with tiny archival fashion pieces, we highly doubt she's going to retire from shocking the masses with her tiny waist anytime soon.

Kim Kardashian isn't the only celebrity being questioned for her approach to weight loss. Hollywood is obsessed with Ozempic.
